I Just watched this game as a un-bias fan, fan of neither team - and I 100% agree with Darko's take and emotion. That was an absolute officiating disgrace, and one of the most one sided series of calls in the 4th quarter I've ever seen - Especially in clutch time.
The flagrant foul on IQ was baffling. The no-call on Scottie's dunk late? Where was the foul call? There's at least one other disgraceful moment I'm forgetting, but the foul ratio and free throw ratio's between team does not lie. When both the eye-test and the stats say the same thing? This SAME thing happened to the warriors vs Kings during the in-season tournament where they also lost by 1 and the kings had like 20+ free throws in the 4th that game as well. Everyone just said they foul too much. This is a common thing this year where the nba badly wants a team to win or be bad for the narrative and people are buying into the narrative so hard that they will ignore it. Kings are supposed to be good, warriors dynasty is supposed to be over. Lakers are supposed to be good, Raptors are supposed to be a lottery team and trade siakam to a contender. That's funny u should mention Kings - couple games ago Raps played super close game with Kings, lost by three after Quickley had a missed foul call on his last shot of game, which was a 3 lol. In the post game review NBA admitted the call was missed, and that's fair enough. But this tonight was insane. I been watching Raps since they picked up Quickley and Barrett and they play good now, but what's going on in LA
All I've ever heard Steve Kerr say was "we have to stop fouling", he had never gone after the referees or said anything about the officiating until the Joker shot 18 free throws about a week ago in denver. He literally goes in the locker room with a challenge still in his pocket. I've had this discussion with some friends and I've said the officiating is so bad in the NBA a team should get a challenge every quarter and if they get it right they keep it that quarter. The refs know a team only has one Challenge and if they get it right they keep it. It doesn't help because that just allows the team to use one early if need be but after that they have to hold on to it till the end of the game. Watch any NBA game and when the refs make a f*****-up call they never look up at the score board at the replay. I believe they are told not to look at the replay. I saw the game a week or so ago against Denver Steph Curry going down court and the Joker flop like Curry pushed his ass halfway across the court. That man is 7 ft 300 lbs, Steph Curry 6 ft 3inches 160lbs soaking wet. They called an offensive foul on Steph Curry and took away the three-point shot that he made. My point being I saw that play Anthony Davis flopped and fell to the floor. Instead of the basket being good and Anthony Davis being called for flopping they took the basket away. The same night Jaylen Brown got hit in the side of the head while shooting a shot. It was challenged and I don't know what the f*** the referee saw on the replay because the replay showed him clearly getting hit in the head. They overturned the call and said no foul because the defender hit the ball.
The problem is this is historically normal for the Lakers. Its the leagues favorite team. The '02 Kings series is the most obvious one. Aside from that, if you think of every game where one team was obviously favored by refs like this, the Lakers make up about 75% of those games alone. There will be no uproar, this is the norm

Nowayyy does the Lakers get 19ft in the 4th vs Raps getting only 2ft and then the 6 fouls called on IQ with the final one a flagrant and RJ getting called for an offensive foul. Great game for the Raptors who clearly won this rigged game even without there starting center. Let’s hope the Raptors beat the Clippers tho. Don’t like them at all.”
You can’t call yourself a real Lakers fan and be hypothetically delusional about how rigged this game was. This game is an agenda that the league wants to make the Lakers great and have the refs involved on behalf of LeBron. I’m not a fan of him or AD even when they sign up with LA.
