    I would say that the most iconic staple candies of Sweden are probably Kexchoklad and Ahlgrens bilar. They have existed for a very long time and I think it would be really hard to find a Swede that hasn't tasted those before. Fun fact, in Sweden it is a cultural tradition that we only eat candy on Saturdays because when it was discovered that sugar causes caries in the 1950s the government had a campaign for the populace to only eat candy once a week, and that day became Saturday.

    Great video. Accidentally stumbled across this video and it was fun to watch. If you ever come to Sweden there’s so much candy (and food and snacks) to try. If you liked Marabou’s bars, then try Mjölkchoklad (milk chocolate) and Schweizernöt (Swiss hazelnut). I think you’d love them. And if you feel brave, try the milk chocolate one with (only) salty liquorice bits in it. It’s the Best! The sweet and salty combination is amazing.
    Heads up, we Swedes really like salty and pickled food/snacks. 😉👍🏻

    Erik of Pommern/Pomerania (1381 or 1382 - 24 September 1459) was the ruler of the Kalmar Union (basically king of Sweden, Denmark and Norway). He was deposed in a coup d’état and became the leader of a guild of privateers and marauders: the Vitalienbrüder, or Victual Brothers. This pirate organization ravaged the Baltic Sea.

    Kind of odd that they add marabou Oreo chocolate, Oreo is typically north American. Would make more sense to just add marabou chocolate, or one of the other non-brand specific flavour Marabou have in their chocolate.

    • @oLawlieto
      @oLawlieto 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's because almond isn't a "true nut" and isn't in the same allergy category as hazelnuts or peanuts.
      If you are allergic to one nut category you have a higher chance of being allergic to another as well.
      But you don't have to be allergic to all of them, however most people that are allergic to nuts tend to avoid all of them for safety reasons.
