Life saver - I'm planning to run a cable from the USB in the armrest storage bin up behind the stereo to install a permanent charging solution for my phone holder. This has shown me how everything is put together and what I need to remove. Thank you! :)
Thanks for the video man, been searching for days on how to do this and got as far removing the gear lever covering and the plastic trim to the right side of it. I'm trying to get the SRS unit out. Now I saw your video, will finish this on the weekend. Credits to your camera man, steady hands while filming.
That's what I'm looking at this for as well (great video). Did you need to take the whole centre console out to get to the srs unit? Just wondering if only prying the side panels out the way or removing the gear stick surround would be enough
Good video those screws for the aux and lighter in the arm rest box were a nightmare for me i had the lever them up and unscrew as they just kept turning

Hi, this was very helpful, thank you. One question, the USB in the hand rest - where is the other end of the cable/plug located? I have a android headunit that has an adapter for this handrest usb, but I can't find where the other end of the USB cable is connected to. I would very much appreciate your help. Thank you, kindly, in advance.
I am not certain as I've never done it. If you freeze the video at 00:17 you should see the three bolts/rivets that hold the arm rest on. I am not sure if these are these are removable. If they are then I think you would need to remove the whole centre console and undo nuts on the back.
Never worked this out. My guess is that it either unscrews or is glued on. I had a brief go at both but didn't want to break anything. It would be very handy in order to replace the gear stick gaiter.
You have to pry off the ring at the base of the knob - it just clips into the knob. Slide the ring down the shaft and then just unscrew your knob. (No giggling at the back!) There is a video from a Polish guy that I can't find know that shows this. He was replacing the gaiter with a custom made one.

This was helpful, had to route a cable from my headunit to the armrest and parts of this video helped me accomplish that!
Thanks for the video. Now I know how to route some cables for my new radio into the space beneath the armrest.

Thank's for perfect video..great job👍👍👍
The armrest itself, how easy is it to get that off? Do you have to remove the entire centre console out? (Upgrading it to a leather one you see)
Thanks a lot for that good video 👍🏻
How can I remove the armrest?

Shift knob video, how remove?
