James, I love these white comparisons. I live in the Midwest in a smallish rambler and we use literally all 1000 feet of our "finished" basement. "Finished" in quotes because everything was DIY cheap by the previous homeowner. We are Sherwin Williams folks, I would love to see your picks for a warm or cool white (LRV of 80+) in a windowless room. I know I am not the only Midwestern person who paints their basement and uses it extensively with artificial light.
My exterior trim is Oxford white and it’s so beautiful. It has a bit more softness than chantilly lace. I love it especially in the late afternoon and early evening, it reflects a as a beautifully creamy white.
I was sold in chantilly lace but tried a sample and it was toooo bright. I think Oxford or vanilla milkshake may be best. Can you review vanilla milkshake? There’s barely any content on it.
Fantastic video. I’m presently painting my north facing condo with Farrow & Ball All White on the ceiling and Wimborne White on the walls. Based on what you said about chantilly lace and Oxford, it sounds like I may have made the right choice. Hope so!
I am building an extension room with lantern roof, it is south east facing, which seem to makes sense to use a white wall paint with cool undertone. But at the same time, the extension is connected to a pantry room with no natural light source, I'm planning to have sage green cabinets, pale pink backsplash for the pantry room, but I'm not sure what kind of white to use for the wall paint.
Just starting to repaint my open bungalow. Everything has been primed. Was going to do beige but seeing the effect that the primer is making me lean towards white but I like the effect of the tone of the primer. Would Oxford white give me that muted white effect?
I would have to go with Oxford White being the best one. While Chantilly Lace is an attractive, beautiful shade of white, it has a bit of a pale greenish tone and contrast.
I paired Chantilly Lace for trim and ceilings with BM Gray Cashmere. Absolutely love it.
Love to hear your take on these 2 paint colours. I use them so often!! Thanks for a great video!!
Yay!!!!! Im a Chantilly lover 🤍

What do you think of using Oxford white with a warm light? I heard that it is not good to mix warm light with a cool tone paint thanks

Can you compare Fine Paints of Europe's "Royal White" with Pratt & Lambert's "Ancestral"? That would be a very informative video!
How about neither? I prefer Behr's Whisper White.
