Ultimately from a whole of system point of view I think Rain Bird are a better overall manufacturer. BUT, we will be changing my bodies and heads over to Hunter pretty soon. Firstly due to the the slope, I need a 3inch with check seals and secondly I'm having issues with the RVans losing their setting occasionally.
"while you're fingering your way down there" 😂😂 Just picked up some Trojan and BBW from the boys down at Railways in Reynella. But just a general question about your liquid products. Do you have to apply the products with a sprayer or can you use a hortex to apply them?
Best to apply with a sprayer. ROOTS N SHOOTS would be the only one id try with a hortex or watering can. The application rate per m2 matters too much. Also MONEY SHOT will stain hard surfaces and WET will burn if not watered in so you dont want to over shoot.
Hey Clint, For the Wet, does it matter how much water you're mixing it into? - or is it more important that you spread the lot across the specified m2 rate? Nice duds btw - do you guys sell them too :)
@@damodoesall6240 Thanks Damo - the reason I ask is, I'm using another brand soil wetter at the moment and the rate is 15ml in 9L which covers 4m2 - for my 80m2 lawn that would add up to 180L of water to do the whole thing. Doesn't seem right to me. I'd rather say I need 300ml of product for the whole lawn, and use maybe 20L across the whole thing - but just worried the mix may be too strong and damage the lawn
@@gerrym75 The water is just a carrier to spread out the wetting agent at the end of the day. I always water for 5 min to wet leaves, as some wetters can be slightly phyto toxic, then spread wetter, then water in thoroughly to get the last bits off the leaves and into the soil where it will actually do its job.
Hey Clint big follower here Just a question about money shot Do I apply at night so it sits on the leaf overnight or can I just apply during the day if it's cloudy thanks mate
Hey Samuel, Max here. A few things to go by with liquid iron (money shot). Best results come when the lawn is in its happy place, so not dry or stressed. Give it a nice water the day before applying and apply in the cool of the morning or evening. Never apply at any time of the day if the temperature is predicted to reach plus 30-32..
Rookie question - can you apply using a watering can or do you need a sprayer?
You can use a watering can to apply Roots n Shoots yes :)
@@thelawnhubthanks! But wet needs a finer spray application? Potentially too concentrated out of a watering can?
Can you spray down roots and shoots after a mow?
With liquids, its best to leave it for 8 hours, especially if its a foliar application.
Thanks clint. Love everything your doing with lawnhub and all the instructional videos you provide.
Very welcome. We enjoy filming them. Appreciate the feedback.
What’s the worse case scenario if you over dose with weta soil
Just the wasted money/product. Maybe some environmental concerns. But nothing to worry about in the lawn department.
I am liking more and more of what you are putting out young Clint, keep up the good work!
Thanks mate. I am our best talent.
Always add at least half the water first, stops the sticky wet adhering to the bottom and minimises frothing.
Pro tip. Thanks mate.
Hey guys. R&s mixed with 3way as a fortnightly or monthly liquid boost over granule fertilizer. Yes or no? What ratio?
Yes. Label rate and monthly.
Hi Clint
Why do you use rain bird instead of hunter ?
