Adopted greyhound reacts to danger outside by wanting cuddles

Greyhounds are not known to be guard dogs and Max definitely isn't one! He would protect me from any harm…but that’s if he isn’t snoozing through any excitement!

watch dog...different from guard dog. My dog is likely part greyhound , she has a lot of concentration and focus. She is quiet, until she percieves something and then there might be one growl or one bark and thats it.

My half Greyhound Daisy, does the same thing as Max.

I think high-legged dogs are afraid of under-body attacks - genitalia, ripped open bellies. I think this is a natural fear. I see this on all 'tall' dogs and big animals when around pigs, dogs and even goats (nipping, butting under-side body parts - yeouch!!). We had borzois which were incredibly fast, too. But they were certainlyl careful when smaller animals approached their under-body parts.

Just to be safe, close your drapes when it is dark outside. You don't want others being able to look into your house.
