The visualiser for Things We Do For Love is OUTSTANDING. YOU MUST WATCH IT! It's the best Kylie video that isn't actually a Kylie video. So simple but utterly majestic and she utterly captivates you. Joyous.
I really love this full and so detailed reaction from you both. I especially love your own personal thoughts on how the songs make you feel. Love you guys and I can't wait to see your reaction to Kylie's new album Tension ♊ I am now subscribed to your channel ❤️❤️❤️ from 🇦🇺
I think Story has slightly deeper meaning outside of the context of the album. There are lyrics that allude to particularly dark moments in Kylie's life and the closing refrain "you're part of my story" hints at the connection she has always spoken about with her fans.
And also, in particular, the late Michael Hutchence whom she was in a relationship with, she credits him to opening her life up, and she's always said he holds a special place in her heart.
Yeh Kylie has always spoken with her fans as being part of her story, but this song is deeply personal and vulnerable, it relates to Hold Onto Now. Kylie doesn’t share a heap about her personal life, she was smart enough to separate her professional life and keep her personal life (mostly) secret. Of there’s a song for that It’s No Secret. Anyhoo ❤
As for Hands, Kylie flirts with R&B from time to time (even as far back as her debut - Look My Way has a decidedly R&B tinge to it). It's one of the genres of music she grew up listening to.
Hands!!! what a song!! and how many references this album has! the best ingredients of great artists in their eras. New Order, Sugarbabes, Howard Jones, Tears for Fears, Thompson Twins, Brandy, Monica, Tony Braxton... I could go on... there is something that sounds like Drive by The Cars, some sounds reminiscent of She Bop by Cyndi Lauper and the spirit of Billy Idol, Van Hallen and Patrice Rushen are noticeable! How could Tension not be a success? Kylie is a memorial that speaks to the future bringing all these references. Hugs from Buenos Aires bro&sis 🩶🩵💙🇦🇷 🧉😎🤙🏻
oh man!!! at 2:01:53 I saw her smile with LOVE AND HAPPINESS ❤ and I just knew you both were into it. Just Imagine would have been the prelude to Somebody to Love and would have fit in between Padam Padam and Hold On to Now. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and LITERALLY CRIED on my FIRST listen to Somebody To Love. It BROKE me. That song carries so much emotion. I don't understand how they were disqualified. I noticed that Kylie had NOT used a full length of an allowance of music on a CD album. She COULD VERY WELL HAVE included both Just Imagine and Somebody to Love and STILL had PLENTY of room to include HEAVENLY BODY, RUNNING, and DRUM. 😢💔 It SUCKS knowing that the Standard Release of the album was 35 minutes long and SO DAMN SHORT! I was gutted 😢 A full length CD album can have 80 minutes of songs and she and her team didn't pack that shish with hits. Again, I love her as much as you all but I want to understand how it turned into a missed opportunity. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Thoroughly enjoyed your review and the details you provide. Had never thought about the thematic progression. I love "Hands" like nobody's business, though I think it would fit better on the Disco album. As far as other KM albums, my top 3 are: Disco, Light Years, KM '94. Consider me subbed.
You should definitely do Golden next - her country/pop album, and dig out the original One Last Kiss, originally produced as a pop dance track. The vocal production on the album is sublime - no auto tune, no double tracking, just stripped back and you can hear all the maturity of her voice, cracks and all. Music's Too Sad Withiout You 😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
I love you guys, Kylie is such a joy to my life. I really hope you get through all her albums. But I have to suggest you react to Aphrodite les Folies instead of the Aphrodite album. Best pop performance ever, hands down!

Kylie is so good doing a song that is "sad" but euphoric at the same time
Somebody To Love is stunning. The lyrics are beautiful.
It's perfect
@@billyjohnston4856absolutely perfect and makes me cry every time I listen 😢
@@0hffsI'm so with you 🤗
I didn't care for story until I seen her do it live. She kills it
I'm an uber driver and sometimes when "things we do for love" comes up on my playlist I just give myself the right to "rap" and yell inwards a bit

"Somebody to Love You" is such a Kylie masterpiece that brings tears in your eyes even thought you're fine and/or in date with therapy
Green Light is definitely my favorite after Hands, Padam Padam and Tension
THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! KYLIE JUST ANNOUNCED TENSION 2, COMING OUT IN OCTOBER!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Story is about her cancer fight rather than a relationship although it could apply to both ❤
love Kylie and how you analysed the lyrics was very detailed and so satisfying :) thank you Xx

I love Story and Somebody To Love the most just by number of plays.
Oh, fun fact about Kylie's songs: there is almost always a "clap 👏 clap 👏". It's fun to try to listen to it 😁
The "extra" songs... "Love train" is just Kylie being fun and "and wtf let's just release a fun one" and might be able to become a ringtone
Such an amazing album. You guys are fantastic. I love your channel.
Love that you guys gave so much thought to the themes and significance of the album. It shows how real artists respond to artists. Respect ❤❤
Just Imagine is the best song
Love you guys energy!!❤ you guys are so charismatic and funny❤ good taste in music too!❤

GIRLS ALOUD SHIRT YESS
How could you both not be screaming in a high note with "Story"??
Need Heavenly Body reaction!!!!! ❤❤❤
Que buena reacción chicos ❤ 👏🏻
Here's the Acapella (VOCALS ONLY) of Somebody to Love! ❤ th-cam.com/video/x2-u61it-1Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DBy5EN-f_idiLUM4
Kylie is pure art ... My favourite song is Vegas high ✨🙌
Please react to Kylie’s Impossible Princess album !

I love You Still Get Me High! It sounds like it belongs in an 80s Brat pack movie.
Its funny coz the things you do for love makes me think about footloose with kevin bacon lol
I love you guys, Kylie is such a joy to my life. I really hope you get through all her albums.
But I have to suggest you react to Aphrodite les Folies instead of the Aphrodite album. Best pop performance ever, hands down!
I’d like you to react the self titled Kylie Minogue 94 album or Golden
I think you should start at the beginning just so that you can appreciate the context and progress of her musical journey.
I agree. This is such a good idea. Omg, imagine - Kylie '88 aaaaall the way through to Tension! 😮
Green Light has the synth of "can't get you out of my head" or am I losing it?
Did you know that Kylie Minogue and spice girl Geri halliwell ware on TFI Friday in 1999 and they both kissed each other
My top 5 are - in no particular order
Padam padam
Tension
Hands
Story
Just imagine
This is just a great album. Roll on Tension 2 next month 💙
Please tell me that your comments about "10 out of 10" is a very mean joke, or maybe sarcastic
It's right before Story and the crazy "bonus" tracks
She has way better albums than this imo
