I liked this game so much and I was furious when Karin said "Don't touch me" and didn't want to go to bath. I understood immediatly what was happening. F@##@$& teacher. If I was the father this guy would probably be dead by now.
This game broke my heart, not only because of the historical plot, but because as a mother I could not protect and avoid the suffering that my son or daughter went through, I would have liked to do three things, first I would have tried to keep the communication and friendship with Anne, Karin's aunt, in case she wanted to have contact with her niece, secondly, I would use the money that Karin's father gave me to get her out of Norway and take her to the US or South America, because the important thing for me would be to get her out of that environment toxic, third, he would try to convince Karin's father to try to maintain some secret and anonymous communication with his daughter, without any financial interest or commitment, for the girl's psychological and emotional well-being, well, that would be what he would try to do if he game allowed. On the other hand, the game is great, but I would like another version of the game in which you take the role of the son and have to face your parents or you in the role of father have to answer your son, certain uncomfortable questions about what happened during the war and what was the role of your family in it or what did they do while the Nazi regime lasted? And you have to discover the past or family war secret and then you find out what happened to the uncle you never met or why grandpa is in jail, like what happened in the fifties in Germany, which even today is a terrible painful taboo and at school they made you ask your parents what happened? Or will it be that my idea is very macabre? Well, I do it with a lot of respect, but this game broke my heart...😔😔😔😭😭😭💓💓💓
İf i was there personally, i would probably have committed a massacre. -me during the gameplay This game has a great potential at testing peoples reactions and also has a great potential as a psychological test tool. Some get really sad, some get angry (like me).

Honestly I'm still too young to have a kid (19 years old) and I obviously can't say I know how a parent feel but I always liked kids (not in the creepy way like that disgusting teacher) and I loved Klaus as if he was actually there, as if he was actually my son and it actually made me feel like a parent. I wanted the best for him and when the game ended it's useless to say that I felt empty, I know it's a game and Klaus is more one of the many kids who existed in the past portrayed using him or his "sister"/female version but still in a way Klaus felt like he was real and I loved taking care of him, I hated not being able to help him or when he suddenly asked me to stop touching him. I always patted his head after he fell asleep or when he was still awake in bed and when he said he didn't wanted it I felt bad but also worried, of course it wasn't hard to figure out why and I felt horrible for not being able to do anything for him, to defend him from the kids and that disgusting teacher. I'm glad that at least two of them were kind to him and cared for him, I'm also glad that even if for a while some kids played with him and it wasn't just to make fun of him or be mean. Even if sadly it didn't last long but at least one seemed to be kind. Still regardless of who was kind or not I really felt like a parent when playing this game and I miss Klaus. I'm glad they are working on the aftermath with a slight grown up version where you set in with your new life and help your kid with their childhood Trauma.
i'm literally 16 and though it's not an actual child irl i felt so helpless and sad watching her go through all that knowing i can do absolutely nothing.

Este juego/historia ha sido de los pocos que me han llegado al corazón y más encima me han hecho llorar, tiene una historia que al principio parece algo simple como una simple adopción de una familia alemana/noruega, pero cuando llegas a este punto logras comprender varias situaciones en las que de verdad sentimos esas emociones y elegimos lo que de verdad haríamos, en mi caso no mandé a Karin a la escuela por lo mismo que haría en la vida real, no causar problemas en el gobierno y consejería de educación, quitandome la custodia de mi hija, algo que de verdad me dolería.. Después de la detención sentía que me palpitaba el corazón porque nunca me dijo que le pasaba y al ver el dibujo que ella hizo en ese tiempo me imagine lo peor.. Espero que no haya sido eso.. Y al final si.. Buscaría cualquier medio posible para sacar a mi hija de ese infierno que vivió ya sea empezando desde cero pero en un lugar donde no fuera tratada como fue ahí.. Este juego fue muy completo y me puso en los zapatos tanto de Karin como del padre a cargo de ella pensando co o los dos y que decisión tomar cuidadosamente.. Espero concuerden conmigo..
I just couldnt stop playing this game but the endind felt unfinished the game should have been much longer and the ending should have given some context if, in my case, klaus found peace in the end. As someone who was bullied for a very similar reason moving away didnt help too much but as I grew stronger I started to stand for my self. I at least expected something like this rather this unknown ending.
Since the the dad wrote in one of his letters that he has started over with a wife and two sons and he wants to leave ww2 behind him I don’t think that would work but they did move to a different region of Norway with the money he gave them
This may sound stupid but at some point I started to love klaus like and when the horrible teacher did that to him I felt so frustrated and impotent that I was almost crying, specially when I saw that drawing that klaus made of his teacher abusing him 😢

In the "good" ending I've seen elsewhere, you the real parents, and the child meets their aunt and grandparents (aunt=nice, grandparents=horrid), so when they are in the forest the child thanks you for doing as you promised. What happens after they leave remains unknown, a nod to the uncertaineity experienced by those families.
But it's even worse because the child will be homeless and you know the society despises the child so how she/he will be able to meet someone who she can trust like us?
