Yeah I was talking to my mother about this guy and others to warn her, she suggested alot of these guys are more on the side of good but living in harsh times. Not an excuse & perhaps shes too soft, but one of those moments. When older people got the xp heh
you still don't understand that a murder in india can be easily covered up... and that these people are working at high risk due to cultural shame

@@nikhilreddy8550 if you have the money and contacts anything can be covered up in India You don't have to be involved to know that. Chuck the police some money and any case can be covered up.
The only time it can't be covered up is when there is a public outcry and it's covered nonstop by the press and public. Just look at the case of Nirbala. The only reason it got fast tracked is because it got the attention of world press and India had to save face. Women are still getting raped and murdered and nothing will be done until the next high profile case.

As the call progresses, you can literally hear the scammer growing more and more hopeful thinking he’s about to make a $2000 score haha
'Hopeful' is not the word i'd use, a bit more like 'DESPERATE' comes to my mind!

@@NitishKumar-jm7ec it's scammer adding an extra zero. It doesn't matter, no one got the money because it's not a real thing, they would use it to convince Pierogi to give them back money they never gave him.
And then you can hear as they start to freak out!

one day you should just say "screw you I'm keeping the extra money" and see what they do
I assume if you hang up after, they might try to hook you in a couple of times or, most likely, they'll just move on to the next call. If you don't hang up they'll probably say the police are coming to arrest you.

That is a good one! Personally one of my favs (if not *the* favorite) is the "Scam Checklist" written and highlighted in the old-school way of hiding lists with invisible ink...makes me think of that movie "Gone In 60 Seconds" every time, lol

People don’t realize how important this guy is, he’s truly saving millions of people from scammers and I think he needs more credit because every day the elderly and vulnerable people are taken advantage of.

you are right, What i do in my local area is I take my iPad and go round as many vulnerable people old and young and let them see/hear all these guys even if they dont have internet etc just so they know what they sound like, how they talk and the words they use. I wish these guys videos were in every bank. Shopping mall and well everywhere there is a tv. It really gets to me… we are all lucky as we know it and how it works. But even then we can all be caught.. in my family I am the one that EVERYONE runs to about letter, text, calls, emails. Even now it is not just Indian that are scamming I am now getting calls from the UK, by British people doing scams.

52 year old Programmer here. It cracks me up when the scammers open up the command prompt and pretend that they are interacting with some "Server" 😂😂😂. Seriously though, you guys are doing great work! Appreciate all you do to stop scammers from preying on the elderly.

Well technically they’re sending gibberish to the kernel via a shell emulator. I’m a sense that’s a server because you have a sort of backend front end separation
I'm glad this scammer got spooked and changed his ways. It's a nice change of pace from the more heartless types.

Everyone needs to share this to adults and elderly on Thanksgiving. My grandmother almost got scammed on the Amazon one. Luckily I overheard conversation and stopped him
Why didn't you share these videos with her before she was nearly scammed? I used to say it, if you have an elderly person and you know about this, but you refuse to inform them, then you are responsible for their being scammed.

Almost happened to my dad a year ago with "microsoft". Saw him on his laptop and they were already connected to it but I was able to close it down before they got too far in and he thought it was legit, he knows far better now thankfully.

@@NitishKumar-jm7ec though they didn’t explain it in the video, it is a very common scam. It’s all a hoax. No money was transferred and the scammer put the extra zeros.

He would have entered 400. Then the scammer enters another 0 because the scammer has control of keyboard and mouse of the victim(because of Teamviewer).
The victim doesn't receive 4000. The scammer either transfers 4000 from checking account to saving account or vice versa. Or the scammer edits the HTML to display transfer of 4000 (inspect element and edit the amount). This is just a temporary display where it shows 4000. It would go away if the person refreshes the browser. The scammer does this by blacking out the screen of the victim so that the victim wouldn't know.
Blast their picture & scamming info on Indian social media sites.

Anyone who says this is race based is deluded. This is a global problem and affects us all. Bro I love your content and have learned allot about the scammers. Recently I was contacted by a scammer claiming to be from the social security administration. Well after I called them out, they did what they normally do and started cussing me. I was having fun with it but anyhow later that evening somehow 19 other people with numbers nearly identical to mine got put into a group chat. Well we all figured out what was happening and started chatting. Then a few days later I get a call from one of the people who was getting contacted by scammers also. Thankfully they didn’t fall for it . They’re an older couple and I Passed on as much info as I could about other scams that I learned about from your channel. Keep up the amazing work brother, you’re awesome

I cry sometimes when I hear the real calls of elderly people who fall prey to scammers but man, when he said he's doing it for his family, I felt that. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but it's like he needed to hear it out loud. The shame broke that man down

10years ago I got a brand new pc and set it up and got this call saying exact same thing I was so stupid and thought it was real sadly got done for £60. But I wish I had a seen a channel like this before . I was only 42 and got caught so I really feel for these elderly vulnerable people . Lowest of the low no names left to call them scum with no conscience . Thanks for all I do it warms my heart when I help people

Hi Scammer Payback, I live in the UK and I'm quite uncomfortable with what my Mom has gotten into. She's signed up for what I believe is a Pyramid Scheme in the Philippines (not sure if you debunk organizations that could be scamming individuals by saying it's all an e-commerce), and she has invested a bit into the business with promises that she could make a lot of money as long as she stays on track. There is a huge anti mlm movement on here. You could just search name of company and is it a scam and it will give you results. It sounds dodgy af.

Today I had 5 calls from eBay, all different numbers and not a human, you know 'press 1 to speak to our representative' . Just to hung up and block the number just doesn't seem sufficient in combating these scammers.
