- Tonight, I shared a whole bunch of tips and tricks for die cutting. I showed you how to center your images inside your dies to give you the perfect white edge using both an acrylic block and the Misti. I also shared a couple of other die cutting techniques including a die cut gatefold card and a partial die cut image card. We talked about how important it is to go on a worry fast once in a while and the quote was, "If your compassion does not include yourself, it's incomplete." Gina K - please don’t “hurry” your videos just because some smart alec says to. As a beginner in dies and stamp coordination I prefer your videos because the tone of your voice and your laid back speed at which you instruct it’s easier to follow. I appreciate you. Thanks.
There's always the option of watching a video sped up for anyone who thinks the presentation is too slow. (I do it quite often, when I can't wait to watch something but don't have much time. It's surprising how much you can pick up, even at 2x normal speed.)
You made such a good point when you reminded us that it is healthy to take a break from the anxiety-producing events in life to experience moments of enjoyment and creativity. Thank you for sharing your craft through such a holistic mindset.

Tip: You may want to consider adding a dot to the more intricate stamps (like your flower) and the matching die for proper placement when you have your stamps manufactured rather than the customer having to figure it out. If you struggled with it like you did (and you wound up putting your dot in the wrong place), imagine how frustrating it would be for customers!
Unfortunately, that can't be done by the manufacturer.

I’m new to card making and these techniques are fabulous!!
to condition new stamps - I use the softest nail buffer and gently 'sand' the stamp - doesn't hurt the stamp - then I always stamp it with versa mark to help reduce staining

I love these die cutting tips and having them all in one video! Thanks! I especially love your last card with the pumpkins. I think it would be interesting to stamp the Petit Flourish stamp on the inside flaps too.
Loving having so many tips in one video, thanks very much! One thing I’d never seen or thought of is using a scoreboard & ruler to mark a line. I’m going to do that for folded cards & box cards etc. from now on instead of squinting at a ruler trying to put my pencil in the right place!
