Beautiful! I would love to see it run with the stock engine, though. Father in law and his business partner got one each new when they first came into NZ, but pre delivery had tray, chassis and drive train extended. One did over 300 000 miles before the cancer put it off road. Father in laws ran till 350 000 miles ( one valve grind) then was donated to a local for doing lawn mowing round for locals at their beach place far enough from vehicle inspections and safety checks...., it kept running for another 8 years I think

      JCB "Robot".
Great little loader around a farmyard.
Get into almost any low building, and has the reach.

      Telehandlers are super, super useful.
I did snagging and r&d for Claas years ago and they're great fun to play in as well as being super useful!
Crab steer, extendable boom, huge lifting capacity, they're 10 machines in one!

Former derby guy here. All those years of hunting Chevys, I used to be able to smell an Impala or a wagon at 1000 yards🤣 while I haven't hunted Chevys in a minute, but still chase old cars. All I need is a glimpse of a tail light, bumper, fenders, headlight etc.

Two things. First. Paul seems as happy as a teen getting his first car. It's nice to see a real man excited about an old truck and what can do to fix it up. Second. His wife is not all pissed off about him buying an old truck to fix up. Most women nowadays would be screaming about what they just purchased. Many kudos to her for standing by her man and his dream build.

No way!!! That’s awesome dude! Excited to see the build videos for this!!! Definitely rock crawler. No doubt will be one of a kind. And definitely still keep the open roof to it. Obviously maybe a cool hard top or more financial reasonable canvas top lol. Lucky man you are! And I know you’ll build a bad ass rig too
The jeepster is bad ass too. I’ve only seen one guy who’s turned one into a rock crawler

The older gent has a great outlook on life. Some people have passion, others meh.
You guys are blessed with low humidity so there are a higher percentage of older vehicles to be able to resto-mod. The junk we have on the east coast has had lots of road salt and humidity to rust to nothing in 12-15 years if allowed to sit.

the expression on your face near the end of the video says it all. Congratulation you have found and brought home one of your dream vehicles. I went through that same senario back in the early 1980 with most of a 1937 Plymouth coupe and ended up with two 37 drivers, one of which my son still drives in the summer.
