Greatest opening for any game ever! The moment I saw the figure of Sonic in the fire, I was awestruck to say the least. Just a perfect showcase of Sonic's speed and badassery on display here. Eggman finally taking down super sonic with one of his own inventions was surprising to me and just the mood this set for the game was perfect. Brilliant direction and animation with this. I still say that SEGA busted their asses the most with this game and I'll give them credit where it's due.

oh god the nostalgia! I remember this intro... this intro, THIS GAME, made me fall in love with this little blue hedgehog that changed my life. I've been so thankfull for what this series and this character has done for me ♡
Oh, my gosh! Sonic Unleashed is my #1 favorite Sonic game of all time. I'm not just saying that because of the CGI or anything like that, but also because of the gameplay, plot, and Sonic transforming into a Werehog, which in my opinion is the best part of the game, and also the fact that he travels around the world to restore all the 7 Chaos Emeralds. But, what's really weird is that some people didn't like the Werehog stages and the Werehog himself because they thought they were too long and deprived from Sonic's high speeds in the normal stages. I personally like the Werehog because it plays a major role in the night stages and Chip (Light Gaia), and needless to say that I also like werewolves over vampires. :) I'd also like to point out that this cutscene is epic just like the Dark Gaia CGI cutscenes where Sonic releases dark energy into Dark Gaia and gathers all the Chaos Emeralds to turn into Super Sonic, totally killing it! Overall, Sonic Unleashed was very well done, and Sega really put a lot of effort into it.

Man I love Sonic Unleashed so much. I just have to let the world know. This is my second favorite video game of all time. From being excited from trailers, from getting it and the 360 for Christmas, from taking a year to beat it, from the amazing graphics, from the fun af gameplay (Boost mechanic imo is the funnest gameplay for sonic), from the epic but sad story, from the perfection of its music fitting perfectly with the continent you are in, from the atmosphere, from the epic bosses, from the hub worlds, from the overall experience, everything about this game I just cannot put into words, there will NEVER be a Sonic game that will top this one in my opinion. Project 2017 won't beat it, I have too many fond memories with Unleashed for any game to top it. It doesn't even get enough recognition, it's a shame people don't give it a chance, I love it so much. This game came 2 years after 06, crazy. I'm having a nostalgic orgasm at this point, but yeah, I will always defend this game.

in base im pretty sure hes a planet buster or higher seeing how much of a strength boost sonic got in generation, in his super form hes shown to be 1/3 universe busting power making him multi-galaxy level (when he fought solaris) but then again he must be stronger now currently.

Agreed. Better story and bigger content are musts for the next main game. The other characters should have better roles as well(I almost cried when I saw their only role in Generations was to yell ''You can do it!'' at the end), maybe even make them playable with their own gameplay(I actually miss the gimmicks).
As awesome as the smell that fills the room when my cats forget to cover their droppings with sand. The terrible story, horrific jokes and 1-note gameplay style really livened up the series.....
Visual quality, storytelling, art direction, animation, writing and voice acting; one of the most slick CG cutscenes I've ever seen, definitely not at the same quality as a CG movie. For the record, they'd have to anticipate animating hours of CG video and have a budget for an endeavour of that magnitude AND expect financial payoff similar to a Pixar movie's to be able to create something that high quality. Again, they did so much more with what they had than I would expect normally. It's good.

They didn't 'remake' Sa1 or Sa2 the just ported it to PS3, 360 and PC with a few adjustments and changes added into it.

in base im pretty sure hes a planet buster or higher seeing how much of a strength boost sonic got in generation, in his super form hes shown to be 1/3 universe busting power making him multi-galaxy level (when he fought solaris) but then again he must be stronger now currently.

Agreed. Better story and bigger content are musts for the next main game. The other characters should have better roles as well(I almost cried when I saw their only role in Generations was to yell ''You can do it!'' at the end), maybe even make them playable with their own gameplay(I actually miss the gimmicks).

They should make a movie with this animations and action. seriously, it only took a few minutes to describe how awesome these characters are.
As awesome as the smell that fills the room when my cats forget to cover their droppings with sand. The terrible story, horrific jokes and 1-note gameplay style really livened up the series.....

i've been watching this cutscene for 3 years now and i still get amazed after watching it
Visual quality, storytelling, art direction, animation, writing and voice acting; one of the most slick CG cutscenes I've ever seen, definitely not at the same quality as a CG movie. For the record, they'd have to anticipate animating hours of CG video and have a budget for an endeavour of that magnitude AND expect financial payoff similar to a Pixar movie's to be able to create something that high quality. Again, they did so much more with what they had than I would expect normally. It's good.
