I love Khon Kaen, it's my first choice for relocating to Thailand. Driving from Udon Thani to Khon Kaen, should definitely have stopped midway for some Gai Yang Khao Suan Kwang at Grandma Phaeng, right across from where you would turn off Mittraphap (2) to go into the Khon Kaen Zoo. Theres a bunch of great Thai bars in walking distance of the Farang Bars near Kosa/Pullman, I like Lngxey (you passed it at around 29:42). Theres also a speakeasy across from where you were in the video at 27:00 or so, gin bar called Apartment After Work. :) On the Farang strip, Pomodoro is much better than expected Italian food.
Wow John, thank you so much for the insider information, it will definitely be helpful for anyone reading, and help them have a great time in Khon Kaen.
Right Bruce, they were friendly, and asked me many times to drink tea, eat sweets, take food home, take water. It was nice to be over there, definitely one of a kind experience. Next time you are in Thailand, try to explore more of Isan Bruce, you will like it here.
@@annandsaminthailand My only complaint about Thailand is the long flight. it's 18 hours non stop. I just flew to Florida from California and that was just 5 hours and I hated it. 😭, I've been to Thailand 3 times and that was 20 years ago
@@brucewayne2773 Right Bruce, I mean USA is huge itself. So many places to see. I have been fascinated with Fairbanks, and Flagstaff. Have you been to these places?
Many people like Bangkok and other cities because of the building sizes. Women and transportation. I did notice that as the city sizes increased the women became prettier. It’s probably due to opportunity
@@darkmattersproject2951 That's really kind of you Phillip! Sure, it does help whenever you donate, and you have donated very generously. So, once again thank you so much for the donations. If you want me to visit some city, you can let me know, I can try to visit that particular city or town.
@@darkmattersproject2951 Right Phillip, I guess I had told this in the previous video on Khon kaen. Khon Kaen is famous in Thailand for having one of the most beautiful ladies 555. Many Thai guys wanna find a girl from Khon Kaen. So, you are right about women being prettier in Khon Kaen.
This was good to see, as ive not been to Khon Kaen, only Udon Thani in that area It looks nice I assume it has less tourists and expats as its kind of far to go for a border run etc

My favorite part was the free food at the temple, nice and friendly people. I love their generosity 🙏

Right, 18 hours flight ain't easy. I find even 4 hours flight to be hard. I can understand Bruce.
@@annandsaminthailand That is why we have been traveling to Mexico and in and around the states. Maybe to Canada next year

Right, Khon Kaen is big and has many places to see. It does have a very few tourists.
Right, it’s like around 190 km from the Laos border.
