- Apparently some of Pusha T's comments on Drakes artistry have brought him out of his "album mode" & forced his hand. Drake follows up with Duppy Freestyle shortly after Pusha T makes noise with his DAYTONA album. Lets see his response.

No you've got it wrong, what he's saying is that if Pusha T is discrediting him for working a couple of songs with Q (only like 4 ever got released) then what can he think of Kanye, whos had multiple writers per album since as early as 808s that we know of. He's also painting the irony that Pusha has the nerve to question him when he's wrote on multiple songs for his label boss, (Father Stretch My Hands, 30 Hours, Popstyle etc.)
But this is also ironic in its own way, because Kanye wrote on multiple Jay Z songs, penned the hooks for a bunch of his hits (Lucifer, Encore just to name a few.) Search up the studio session video on the creation of Lucifer by Jay Z. So if we're discrediting Drake then we also have to discredit Jay Z, Kanye and probably most of the rap game since sharing song ideas is heavily prevalent in a lot of major artists.
Yes, it does actually because Drake was one of Kanye's writers on his last album and it ABSOLUTELY has to do with Pusha T because he just called out Drake for doing the same shit when he's part of the G.O.O.D label. Pusha has a problem with Ye' for his political views and his arrogance, he's said it in a recent interview. Drake is basically saying that Pusha has no backbone and has based his entire career off of phony drug pushing that his brother Malice used to do at a high level. THAT'S WAY WORSE IMO. Birdman checked Pusha's ass in an elevator too and he cowered down and left. I can almost gaurantee Kanye gassed Pusha up to do this on his album. ALMOST EVERY ARTIST/RAPPER HAS HAD A GHOST WRITER. Whether Drake was exposed or not doesn't matter at this point because it was only for a couple verses on a previous project (and he CREDITED Q, how is that being exposed?). Stop making Drake the poster boy of ghost writing when this shit has been happening since NWA formed in the 90s and 808s and Heartbreak. Just because other artists haven't been exposed doesn't mean they haven't had people write for them at certain points in their careers. I like you Shawn but you are totally biased right now and aren't seeing the other side at all. Show the man some respect, geez.

Ok, so as we’ve all listened to both responses, this is my official (unsolicited and probably unsupported) verdict: Drake’s Duppy Freestyle was a great song with decent material. Its main focus, however, was on Kanye, and not Pusha. The material focusing solely on Pusha was sparse at best. Therefore, when Pusha responded with the Story of Adidon, not only did he reveal embarrassing potential truths about Drake and his family, he created a metaphorical relationship between Drake’s supposed deadbeat characteristics as attributes also of his parents. In addition, the majority of the track focuses on Drake and Drake alone, with the disses aimed at OVO and the like intended to hit Drake where it hurts. Furthermore, the song interrupts Drake’s potential popularity and the success of his upcoming album and Adidas rollout. His response, an apology and overall futile explanation for the blackface image, was seen by many as a failure. Of course, said image is now irrevocably associated with both the album and the shoe deal, and therefore can potentially impact sales. It now seems like the battle of sorts is over, at least until the potential response on Drake’s album (conjecture, and not confirmed). It also seems like Pusha has extra material on Drake as well, though they both seem content at the current point. If the issue becomes prolonged, my verdict may change, but at this juncture, it is easy for me to give motherfucking Aubrey the goddamn L.

As far as the "taking care of your own" bar, its a known thing that Drake hardly promotes or looks out for artists on his label (PND, Roy Woods, Dvsn, etc.) so I find that bar ironic because it feels like drake doesn't want his label mates to shine because he is worried about their success. The whole beef is just meh. Both stated facts and both stated things we already know. Pusha T and Drake are both at the point in their careers where they aren't losing anything from this. They're not loosing any fans or money and people already had their minds made up about them before these disses dropped. I'll will say that Drake is like Nicki Minaj when it comes to dissing, I would love to see him keep the same energy when lyrical heavy hitters come at him. When you address the giants people stop coming for you and if someone does come for you after that there is no reason to respond and the public will feel the same.
