Germany’s most successful artist of the last two decades and one the most streamed artists on this planet has just unveiled his latest sensational collaboration with the world-renowned British superstar James Blunt, right on time for the summer season. Robin Schulz’s new single “OK” is a beautifully melodic deep house anthem paired with James Blunt’s distinctive vocals that releases today and is already creating quite a stir.
The two superstars hit it off from the start and their chemistry on the track is undeniable: “I’ve had many great nights in Ibiza clubs listening to the very talented Robin Schulz DJ’ing, so this collaboration is very exciting for me,” James Blunt confirms. Also releasing is the brand new companion video, directed by Liza Minou Morberg and starring James Blunt alongside German actress Lisa Tomaschewsky (“Deutschland 83”), who was very much impressed by the clip’s visual aesthetic: “I was really drawn in by its cinematic approach.” The video pays homage to Michel Gondry’s movie “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and details a young man trying to rid himself from the memories of a past relationship, before the chorus reminds us that in the end: “It’s gonna be okay!”
What’s more, “OK (feat. James Blunt)” gives listeners a first taste of Robin Schulz’s forthcoming new album. On September 8th the superstar DJ and record-breaking producer will release his third studio album “Uncovered” with a total of 18 new tracks. “Uncovered” is the follow-up to his Platinum-certified breakthrough debut “Prayer” (2014) and his Gold-certified sophomore LP “Sugar” (2015).

This song got me through one of the hardest times in my life when I first realized my boyfriend(now fiance) really had a drug addiction and it was worse than I had wanted to admit to myself.. we just weren't seeing eye to eye and so many ugly screaming fights to the point tears are streaming down our faces and it was so overwhelming that I just grabbed my things, threatening to leave because I didn't know how else to save him from himself and I knew at that moment I was losing myself in the process of trying to love him through the darkness that he was drowning himself in....I had begun to drown and I remember just throwing everything to the ground and hitting my knees and wailing...just absolutely bawling my eyes out, begging him to PLEASE love me enough to make me stay.
And I still remember the look he gave me...with the deepest sadness in his eyes as he admitted that he didn't know if he could love me enough to make me stay but that he would try anything to show me that his love for me was the only thing he had left in him....that he had nothing left in the world to live for, he just couldn't bring himself to love himself after everything he had done and been through... I realized in that moment that he was in need of something i could never give him, but I was willing to do whatever it takes to make him see in him what I saw worth loving....He is absolutely the most beautiful and genuinely pure soul I've ever known and knowing this alone just makes it that much more painful.
Nothing in the world beats the feeling of the moment he grabbed me up off the bedroom floor and held me until I couldn't shed another tear...and all he could say were those four words: It's gonna be OK. About a week later I found this song on Spotify and I havent stopped loving it since....
Fastforward 5 1/2 years we are going 6 years strong....engaged and managing our sobriety and life the best we can....sometimes someone's best isn't enough to keep your head above the water....but it's enough to make you want to try to fight to save yourself from going under, too.
If both people give up, you're guaranteed to drown...but if you're willing to fight, to stay afloat long enough for you both to reach the shore....you will know without an absolute doubt in the world that you both can survive the darkest waters and deepest oceans.
