I have a unit from a different company I have been using for a couple of years now and I'm noticing the brightness is suffering and the screen is getting harder to see in the bright tropical sun here in North Queensland. I know the cameras for this unit are listed as 4K and 1080P resolution but what is the actual resolution of the screen itself? And what is the brightness rating of the screen?
Given your experience, is there a system that is compatible with the existing backup camera? I have a 18' Sahara JL and the quality is already really good.
No and I don't think one exists because these systems or these mirrors use digital signal for the rear view cameras and the stock rear view camera is an analog signal so they will not work together. Again, this is just based on my experience. I'm not an expert in signals for cameras. I just know from what I've experienced with my rear view camera systems and my Tesla style screen that happened in the Jeep.

Yes, if you turn it off, the surface of the screen is a reflective mirror that can be used as a regular rear view mirror.

I haven't noticed an reduction in screen quality and I am not sure what the screen read is.
Any other 10inch. On market. Besides one u have done in past videos So I can still use my visor. Without being in the way
It seems that all the 4k ones are all 12", I'll do some research and see what I can find, because I agree I would like a good 10" one.
