I love the Illy coffees! Especially the Classico and Intenso. Most of the cafes I enjoyed going to in Rome and in Florence served the Illy espresso drinks and when I bought my own espresso machines for home, I bought Illy coffees to use in them. Super high quality coffees and WAY better than some of the proprietary coffees that the Nespresso Vertuoline machines use.

Just having an Intenso coffee but because we have large mugs I still needed to use two pods, however the coffee is so lovely and looking forward to trying out the others that came with the order from Amazon, I do agree one pod would be fine in a smaller cup or mug.
Yeah it's nice as a double with milk that isn't it. Be great to hear what you think of the Forte too as that has a stronger deeper flavour.
Looking forward to try those coffee pods.. wish lavazza would do the same as full aluminum pods as Illy not plastic & aluminum pods...

Got my Creatista Pro this week, and got the Illy Classico and Intenso pods to try out. Always been an Illy fan, and neither disappoint.
Classico is nicely balanced and tastes like the classic pads for FrancisFrancis machines. The intenso’s have a nice kick in terms of flavor, but not overly bitter or acidic. So I can only agree with your impressions!

I like milder, fruitier espresso with a smaller amount of milk and a little flavor syrup. I really like the Classico, much better than most capsules. I will try the Intenso as well.

The Classico is what is served in the cafes of Italy, AND many Major American and European Cities. Italy is the home of espresso and my home city of Seattle was the first US city to import and embrace espresso drinks. I have enjoyed espresso since before the first Starbucks opened. It’s in my blood, and illy is the best Italian espresso coffee available.
Forte is the best tasting, illy is another level!
Are these and the Peet's made in the same factory? Seems to be the exact same thing, aside from the ink on the packaging. Same box, same pod, same layout, etc.
Add a little maple syrup to take the edge off and an added boost when needed.

I like two pods in my cappuccino too. Is it possible to to make a two-pod cappuccino using the set mode in the Creatista?
It is with the Creatista Pro in the UK at least.

Are those capsules same as original one Do u reccomend getting illy one or just getting the Nespresso original one as they are the same price ?
That’s a tough question. I’ve used both types in my machines for years and I don’t feel compatibles from good quality brands will do any harm (apart from sometimes letting some water drip through to your used capsule holder) so it depends which you prefer the taste of really. If you like the illy then maybe stock up when they’re on offer.
We can’t get Intenso in Australia? Am I missing out?
These were all nice in their own way. I still find myself reaching for the extra forte in the supermarket though - to have with milk.
Have you tried the Nescafe Farmer Origins? Made by Nespresso (like Starbucks pods) so not really third-party, but I think they are better than Nespresso pods.

Friend, what you're brewing is not espresso, it's coffee. Those capsules contain under 6 grams of coffee. To make anything approaching an espresso you should be pumping 12ml of water through them, but you're making at least 40ml. That's a cup of coffee, not a shot of espresso. Your fancy machine likely has the ability to adjust the water quantity per shot, do yourself a favor and adjust it way down.
12ml? Italian espresso is at least 25, usually 30
