This was one of the highlights of my Cal trip with Mom in 1958. Coming from NY, we were used to trains but not any that went up an incline. Also remember a restaurant nearby (I think) that had each room decorated as a different theme or place. (one had a waterfall, another a cave, etc.)

Went and saw this for the first time today... had to take the stairs as the train is not running until further safety measures have been added. I hope to ride it one day... looks fun, even if it is quite short!

My experience with Angel's Flight was sticking my head in the door when I was kid to see what it look like (it looked and smelled really old) I never rode it back then which was about 1956, I was 7 years old. I also remember, maybe it was on the same day that my family went up to the observation level of city hall which at the time was the tallest building in LA. Hopefully I'll ride Angel's Flight when it's back in operation.
