      Wheres the good old unity jump? H3AD-5T v2 with Wax Quail, or enough speed and you can fly out of the map and oneshot bosses

      The flying enemies dying upon being knocked into a wall is an absolutely 100% intended mechanic, i believe it was at least mentioned in the patchnote when REX released, because of his "rocket jump", or some time after, for aforementioned reason
      Merc's weird property of sometimes sending enemies flying is a long standing bug also cited in the reason for adding that as well, because it was a fun bug, and they wanted to make it work IIRC, though my memory on the later bit is really iffy

    I found an interesting one with Acrid, but its probably useless. With Acrid, get the Milky Chrysalis, then perform your leap attack, and before hitting the ground, activate the wings. You will remain in "Leap form" but you can move around as you please, but when it ends, you'll finish the slam attack.

    The only thing I'd call an exploit is the lunar coin editing which still doesn't matter much. If someone cared to have a lot of them they'd just go get a lot of them.
    Taking advantage of collision damage is cheesey, but I wouldn't call someone out on it. I'd still fully support them fixing it IF they also fixed flying enemies going into the stratosphere when someone looks at them funny.

      Funny thing, they added in collusion damage because before they did you'd just yeet enemies away and that wasn't always ideal. So that being one of the top bugs made me laugh a bit.

      Actually, the "momentum glitch" does not work well in multiplayer... The HOST of the game can do the glitch, but others can not. So, I would say it's probably unintended :D

      I don't use the lunar coin cheat myself but i think it's completely fine if you didn't use them to ruin random players experiece in multiplayer.

    I remember the developers mentioned during E3 that, the mechanic that lets you tackle enemies and send them towards Terrain is an intended feature. But it used to be a bug.

      Yes, pushing small enemies like wisps and jellyfish was intended so that rex can have ease of defeating those enemies if you have skill. What may not be intended is the bigger bosses have that same capability... or at least doing that much damage... but it's in hopoo's hands now.
      I personally like to call it a skill mechanic that adds a depth to certain characters

    You can also use the pylon that from Loader's special to press down a button for a period of time.
    This means you can place a pylon on one button, then grapple over to the other button and press it as well.

      @@alasdairsinclair916 When Captain was first introduced in 1.0 (and this video was before then), his beacons did not work on the buttons.
      In a future update this was changed so it does work, but really you should only use one beacon to press it down, and that's if it's in singleplayer.

    That line in the video actually gave me an idea: maybe it would be a fun challenge to cheat like a million coins, and then do the blue portal every stage and pick up all 4 items every stage.

      It is fun tbh, you can become completely invincible or get completely wrecked. (Especially since you can choose to get the Legendary every stage 4, and the legendary at the shop.)
      You only need about 1,000 though, 1 coin a portal, 8 for the items. So 9 a stage. I believe the game will crash eventually if you go too far. (180 for a 20 stage run)

    I feel like the "exploits" such as the momentum glitch should stay in the game because they are mostly executed by experienced players. Having to learn these small advantages help enhance gameplay much like bunny hopping in source, rocket jumping in quake/ halo, and BLJ in Mario 64.

    The lunar coin editing really doesn't bother me since I don't play with randoms and my guess for what Hopoo is to do is leaving it up to the player, just like with save editing Risk of Rain 1.
    I didn't really like grinding for lunar coins in this game so I just cheated a bunch of them in to play dumb stuff with my friends.

      i did this too. sometimes doing a monsoon command run with a friend and just getting 8 shaped glass and 20 gestures (with royal capacitor) is super fun

      I’ve never found it to be a big problem to get lunar coins since i often just play quick runs where i obliterate. You usually get like 6-7 coins in total if you’re lucky with an enemy dropping them or if you get beads of fealty you can get even more

    1: One way you could deal wth txt file editors could be to set your lunar coins to 5 the moment you enter a quickplay match and then set it back to what it was before yoi entered the match after the match is complete or left. This way you stop the editors in their tracks and everyone is on an equal playing field when it comes to coins.
    2: I feel like hopoo should get around to fixing the door but making it so buttons are pressed down permanently or are atleast on a timer long enough to get to both only in singeplayer.
    3: Extra starting gold and the momentum glitch might as well be considered a form of tech that requires skill at this point so i see no issue with them. Grove tender glitch should be fixed though honestly, it makes the fight a cakewalk in a lot of situations and makes it an absolute snorefest aswell.
    Overall great video woolie, keep up the great content.

      The easy fix is just to use a SQL table. All the playerbase combined would be like 10MB at most to track player stats

      @@ChupachuGames that would not work, Reason one is they would have to implement the sql database changing the games structure, and it is not so simple to add a sql databse core for just a sigle piece of information that is lunar coin count, and it would again be very breachable and not secure, cause they have a server sided game. Apart from that there are too many downsides to it .It is hard to patch individual parts of the data when they're stored in a single database file, it is not ideal for many types of complex data that ror2 would need it is not very flexible when you need to change the schema, it is not necessarily backwards compatible after you change the game.

      ​@ I don't think this will change the game structure at all, and this is probably their endgame plan when they make it live. I think they just need to swap read/write functions for SQL selects/inserts/updates, the game's already made to read plaintext from a dictionary of keys. Then all they need to do is use the steamID which is provided automatically for steam titles on startup, and use this as the identifier/uniqueid. That's honestly it, the most inconvenience the user will see is their coins and account resetting, which should be expected for when the game launches anyways. Mutating a SQL table is super easy and auto-fills all the fields with new data if you set it up that way, they scale incredibly well, which is why billion dollar industries use them to manage accounts and business data, analytics, etc etc. I think it's the move they're gonna go with, it's the simplest way to secure it and isn't a big hassle.

    Important note about the last-second gold transfer. If you’ve hit the blue portal instead of the teleporter your gold will carry to the Bazaar but not the following stage. And regular gold is useless in the Bazaar

    Woolie, I've been following your onerun challenge, and I just realized. If you finish the commando lets say in the next 2 weeks, then bang out all the other characters, well then the game is going to get updated. Won't you have to painstakingly do the onerun challenge again to get all the new loot?

    I actually had a "Bug" i guess with Huntress on Abyssal Depths. In the middle of Fighting the Teleporter boss with a couple of my buddies i was panicking to try and stay alive as i was the last one alive. I had hit a dash i guess just perfect enough to where i had lodged myself underneath on of the Giant rock's on the bottem of the stage. Nothing could hit me Imp Overlord had spawned and they couldnt even teleport to me to hit me.
    This video made me think of that instance and i wish i still had the stream of it when it happened it was perfect.

    I still absolutly despise the rogue-lite aspect of the coins, thats why I use the mod looner coins, which makes it so you always start with 0 coins but have a higher chance to encounter them during a run, so each run feels unique

If you love the "get as far as you can" aspect of each run, then lunar coins really ruin the experience. every run, you'd want dozens of lunar coins so that you could attempt to make use of bazaar as much as possible. so without hacking, you'd have to grind. if you're just trying to be immersed or whatever, then it could be good, though I dont see how it's worth it

      Ravenous Hydra i have over 100 lunar coins but i never actually grind for them. I just got a bunch when playing quick runs to unlock skills and stuff

    For anyone interested: the desert door glitch doesn’t work anymore just glitching inside doesn’t spawn the minibosses, but it’s not particularly hard to complete it, if you really really want the bands just get a primordial cube (either through luck or use the command artefact) and use it on one button when you know where the other is, enemies will be dragged onto the plate and you just have to press the other button to open the chamber.

    Hey Woolie, playing with somebody that has infinite Lunar Coins doesn't affect the game as much as you say here. Most people that do have infinite Lunar Coins effectively just buy stuff for people who don't (it's very rare for someone with infinite coins to steal lunar items in my experience).
    With this in mind, there are only two cases when playing with three other people:
    1. Either there are enough Lunar Coins to pay for all Lunar-stuff
    2. There aren't enough Lunar Coins to pay for all Lunar-stuff
    I would argue that even without the ability to make Lunar Coins infinite, most games would still have enough lunar coins betwen all four players.
    7 Stages = 7LC's Newt, 7LC's Pods, and 35LC's items/maps... This means, worst case, only about 12 coins per person IF every single lunar item is bought every Blue Portal (which they rarely are)
    Love the content, and keep it up! I honestly really want to see you do more multiplayer, and get more people involved as 'characters' on this channel. Focus more on the community aspect that a lot of us enjoy the most about RoR2.

      The problem is often that the guy with the infinite lunar coins will always buy newt altars and always buy from lunar pods/shops. The dude is often nice about it and allows people to take the items, but it could screw up the flow of the game if everyone has 5 lunar items by stage 5. Even if people decline the lunar man's offers, than the game will have one OP dude killing everything.

      @@maragazh9993 Like I said above, I still don't think it would be uncommon for 5 lunar items by stage 5, even without infinites (because people will still buy them if they are good items).
      If one person is funnelled all the lunars, there is always the chance of 2-3 corpseblooms per shop and no gestures. This fact is true with or without 'Lunar Man'.

      @@senaesul3128 they wont take the corpse blooms, but the excess lunar coins allows for the players to choose whatever lunars they want. There is absolutely no risk in asking the dude with 99999 lunar coins to buy a lunar pod. Players who would rather stay out of this then have to deal with 1-3 other lunared players on their team. Even if the lunar people pick up literally everything, including strides of heresy and corpse blooms, then you run into the problem of having a lunar dead weight.
      I dont play online with randoms for this reason. It can really ruin the fun if every single round there are 2 guys buying every newt altar and lunar pod and either carrying you or becoming useless. Too extreme

      1. Do you play quickplay? If so, I recommend not doing that and join the main Discord, or Woolie's. It's easier to find people who want to play the way you do.
      2. If someone actually farmed like 200 LC's would you be mad at them for spending them on items that the game presents during a run?
      3. What is Lunar Dead Weight? If I have extra Corpseblooms, I have a better chance at not sacrificing the Lunar Items I want in a Cleansing Pool.
      I agree with your point that people on the whole might be more stingy with spending, but don't assume everyone you're going to play will act the same as quickplay folk. The community is (on the whole) great, and will listen or communicate if you do the same.

      @@maragazh9993 You understand that with 1 coin a portal, and 8 a shop is 9 coins... for a 7 stage run... 63 coins. That is possible in 4 runs through the game with some lucky drops. Legit or hacked, both outcomes exist.
      The issue isn't with cheating, the issue is in the design of the coins as a whole. Infinite coins, or the 100 you save because they are too valuable to use solo... there needs to be either a factor to limit the coins you can bring into a match or limiting how often a SINGLE person can choose to enter the bazaar.
      Cheating or legit, there is no difference.

    I cannot agree with you on lunar coins. I feel that not having an unlimited supply ruins the game. You could genuinely grind for an insane amount of coins so you never have to worry, and then go use them in multiplayer. In the end, that is no different than just changing how many coins you have

    An interesting exploit I found after some research is that the cool down on the bands is counted as a debuff and can be negated with blast shower

    Now that I think of it, does dropping an Effigy of Grief on a pressure plate in Abandoned Aqueduct depress the pressure plate?
    I would imagine it does due to how dislikable the item is.

    On the lunar coins topic, I agree 100% if you edit in the coins and play quick play you shouldn’t use them. Unless you chat with team and everyone is cool with it. Personally, I wouldn’t play this game much if I couldn’t have intimate lunar coins. For me, it’s WAY more fun/replay able Via the lunar coins. Doesn’t hurt anyone for me to have more fun with the game, so no reason to change the fact I can have more fun.

    I may be misremembering but I'm fairly certain there's unused "loading hints" in the language files and one of them mentions shoving flying enemies into walls/floors to deal massive damage. I'll have to check later

    Personally i'm always happy if someone in my session has infinite Lunars, so i don't have to consider myself cheating and a lunar coin still is a valuable drop to me, but still get the benefit.

    Honestly I have to agree, exploits make the game more "fun" as long as they don't completely destroy the experience - but even if they do, you can always just not use them lol. For a game like RoR2 that is mostly for your own enjoyment (i.e. you aren't interacting with other players that much through mechanics like pvp, leaderboards, trading, etc), your decision of whether to use an exploit really only affects you. A lot of times the exploits can even take more skill than the intended mechanic - in those cases, it;s kind of like you are just being rewarded for good play. Even if the exploit is "skilless", it might bypass a tedious mechanic, and thus increase the overall amount of fun you're having. Plus, it's always fun to show your friends the latest cool technique you learned. So in all, I'm fine with exploits, and I agree that if the devs really thought they were an issue, they'd patch them (in Borderlands 2, the devs waited seven years before patching an infinite ammo glitch that had literally been widely known about and used since the very first release of the game).

    So I'm curious, what's the difference in me editing in a trillion coins and going into quickplay or farming let's say 500 coins, loader speedrunning gets you them quite fast, and then going into quickplay? My time? because that doesn't affect the others "like the coins do". I'm not trying to be an asshole here just honestly want to know why editing and farming aren't the same when the only problem you see with editing is the affect it has on others not through the editing itself but buying newt alters and allowing access to shop every time.

      Right? With a random group its not like you can guarantee nobody is ever gonna spend lunar coins. Woolie said it himself with the 'with just how many people have this game', the reality of the situation is people spending their coins early and often can be a part of the risk of rain experience nowadays.

      Good point. Sure when you see someone with a billion coins you think "really?" as they spend spend spend in a run, but someone could also farm a shit ton and spend spend spend.

      Ya I think wooly missed the mark on that one. All it is doing is saving you time. If the coins were changed to be like a challenge coin you earn in run, for fast clear or something worth it, then I could understand but right now it's just a way to block players that have more then just grinding away hours on one game from content instead of being a reward for good play.

      This is important.
      I had 30 coins piled up before I started editing them in. I would eventually end up with 1,000, I was saving for MP when they would have the biggest use, more shops, and more choices for the 4 players...
      It was just as annoying, no difference, and ultimately I'd be called a cheater.
      So I edited in the coins... but imposed a limit to online use. I could only forcibly choose to open a portal and spend a total of 5 coins. (So selecting one stage effectively) but also I'd just as "Hey, should we go to the bazaar each stage, or just before stage 4 to get the 4 boss item drop each loop, or not at all?" and of course "If you want me to open any portals or buds to save you coins, just tell me."
      Some people would love going to the shop each stage, getting the Accumulator 100% of the time, getting the 4 legendary boss items on each loop, or just free opening on any lunar buds that appear on the stages so they could save their coins. Others would say no, so I'd only use 5 coins to keep it authentic. (Despite being able to reasonable use 15 coins.)
      Communication is key.
      Cheated or not, communicate what you want to do and see what the players feel like. The point of playing MP is to play with others, not against them.

      It's cheating, whatever excuse you can find. No matter if it's "convenient" or if "All it is doing is saving you time". you modified gamefiles to get an advantage.. If it's not cheating, i don't know what is.
      So no. No difference between farming and cheating sure.. But it's still cheating

    I think the momentum thing is intentional. Just like how to get an ability on rex, his repulse skill allows him to push dunestiders off maps or in holes, instantly killing them.

    I actually accidentally discovered the transferring gold a couple times, then i learned how to do it on my own. I actually didn't know about if other people knew until about half a month later when i saw a video with it in. Basically what I'm saying is, it can be easy to accidentally find that neat glitch.

    I only play Singleplayer / duo with my friend.
    We both did the lunar coin edit.
    I also don't see why anyone else would care if we both did it / if other players did it for singleplayer.
    I mean, the way to get it is just to spam stage 7 and obliterate... why would I do that instead of playing the game and having fun?
    If you have fun doing it "legit" then no problem as well. The problem is, when you get salty what OTHER people are doing.
    Game's are supposed to be for fun, and if you're not having fun, then why play.

    That last one sounds like enemies takeing fall damage, im pretty sure that anything with enough velocity takes damage from hitting a solid surface proportional to speed, probably could confirm if you launch a scavenger with/without headstompers

    I found a way to cheese the worms on Sky Meadow. As Artificer, if you fly into the void in between the two platforms at the ends of the U-shape, the worm(s) will follow you and spontaneously die about halfway.

    Right now there’s a bug on mithrix stages 3 and 4. If you kill him after he uses his big jump and slam thingy and proc kjaro’s band while doing so, when stage 4 mithrix comes in he will also take damage from the fire band before he takes your items, which messes with the boss fight and means that he completely skips taking your items and straight up starts attacking you. I think that is also why half the time mithrix insta dies to Happiest Mask, as there’s probably a tiny period after stage 4 mithrix spawns in where he is vulnerable to damage, which causes the game to think that it’s already a phase where mithrix can take damage and skips to that part of the coding

    It took me like 20 minutes of my high ass fiddling with it, but I eventually got a pot onto the pressure plate. I had like 17 drones, and after about 10 minutes I started to figure out how to wrangle the AI pathing in a way that pushes the pot in the general direction I want it to go, so I managed to exploit the drones as work mules and got the pot onto the button.

    I consider the flying enemy cheese to be a proper mechanic. I think because all enemies take fall damage, flying enemies are affected by taking damage when colliding with a surface. Like classic bungie physics in Destiny and D2 when you hit a wall, and I imagine if the player is also flying with like a chrysalis or something it would affect them as well.

    I don't know if they did fix it but I did report in the milky chrysalis glitch with fuel cells and gesture of the drowned. If the time is reduced further than 15 secs, a glitch does happen causing the item not to function in a new level. Going further in with reduced time makes the glitch happen more often to a 100% that can't function. I believe it has to do with the animation of the wings causing this to happen.

    A bug that does happen sometimes to me is when you use Loader's shift towards a dead Brass Contraption. I have moments where Loader just gets stuck midair while hitting the dead body for multiple hits, thus allowing you to gain a free barrier (and it usually maxes out too).
    Not sure how it works though, and I'm not sure if it works on other dead bodies.

      it sounds like a brass only thing; they're the only flying enemy that isnt majorly curved, and don't self-detonate thus becoming a prop.

    I think the editing coins factor is similar to the editing keys in Borderlands 2. The developers simply removed that feature, but didn't punish anyone who used them.

    Honestly, i dont think the lunar coin editing really "ruins" the experience for others as you could achieve the same results with just 100 coins or so per run which is kinda easy with just a few twisted scavenger fights
    To clarify, im on console where you cant access the file anyway unless you're someone much more well versed in tech that myself, and ive got about 140 coins from just random playing, if i wanted to i could just buy every lunar item for a long time and achieve the same effect so i dont see how editors really ruin it that much

    considering that lunar items and the cauldrons in the bazaar are key components to some of the most fun loadouts i've had, if i had to grind for every lunar coin i have i wouldn't like this game nearly as much.

    as of 2 days ago the hitting floating enemies into walls to do massive damage still exists because i accidentlly did this fighting the alloy boss in siren's call as mercenary. I probably would have died if this didn't happen and i didn't even realise it was a bug. I just sort of looked at it like "wtf happeneed?" but now i know

    The REX and Mercenary slam are intended mechanics, but maybe not for bosses. REX was always supposed to be able to use his push to shove flying enemies into walls to kill them, however the push has little to no effect on bosses. Merc getting this ability may be accidental, but oh boy is it fun.

    Personally, i think the only positive side of getting the blue portal every stages is stacking the gesture of the drowned for the royal capacitor. Stacking shaped glass is risky, and most of the other items doesnt seem too beneficial, and i never use the cauldrons.
    BUT WITH THE COMMAND ARTIFACT I CAN STACK HUNDREDS OF GESTURE OF THE DROWNED

    You can dash inside the middle spot(where the teleporter or newt is) on the green first level. You can shoot anything and never get hit. All abilities work. Then just walk right out.

    In regards to playing around boss specific mechanics, wouldn't it be more accurate to call that "Counterplay" as opposed to "exploits"?
    You aren't really breaking much of anything when you save the damage for when the pothead stands up, or find cover from explosion. That's just...playing smart lmao
    Really hope no one is seriously so dumb to be calling that a game exploit

    personally I like the slamming a enemy into something. its super fun and it could even be a ability upgrade for some characters.
    if you don't like it. then don't do it. Risk of Rain is all about having fun. that's why they brought back command. its a fun cheat code to play with to mix things up.

    I found the gold transfer exploit on my own by accident, by getting Ghor's Tome and picking up the treasure after I hit the teleporter and realizing I hadn't picked it up. I think that's the best item for it since you can finish off enemies when you hit the teleport button then run around and gather the treasures for that little starting advantage

    on the topic of the desert door, effigy of grief can also be used to hold down the buttons. warbanners do not have this function even though they seem to have gravity.

    I agree, some mechanics help players adapt to a new play style or even help create some extra variation in your runs as you discover these hidden mechanics but there still is a fine line between “exploits” and all our game breaking mechanics, hence why I believe tactics that completely cheese boss mechanics need to be patched

    There's a cheese you can do on Imp Overlords on scorched acres where if you stand right at the tip of one of the prong things that allow you walk to different levels of the platforms the imp overlord can't teleport there and will just sit in front of you. If you do a head glitch kind of thing, like in BF3 it more or less won't hit you.
    Hyper specific but sometimes I struggle with overlords and it's helped me before. It's not that cheesy I guess

    This is 5 months later in artifacts 2.0, but if you use Artificer's flamethrower then use a volcanic egg, you can fly around in the egg AND shoot the flamethrower at the same time. Idk exactly how useful it is tho, I would probably need to do testing on it.

    I think playing online DOES in fact sign you up for whatever you encounter. It's like saying that queuing up for quickplay doesn't account for massively different skill levels. When you hit the button, you are knowingly or unknowingly taking the risk (of rain).

    I believe a good solution for lunar coins would be to enable a literal line of code specific to multiplayer that hard reset your coins to 10. While this may be subject to alterations as well, I think hopoo could come up with a way to alter coins in this manner safely. In addition, they could reward 1 coins per stage completed for you to use in your singleplayer and local private games. @woolie

    I played Risk of rain 1 with my friends/solo bc thats all you could do back in the day and i play risk of rain 2 the same way. Ive never been in an online match so i dont mind the coin editing. Also we call the momentum glitch "bonking". I also dont have a problem with this one. Its not the easiest thing to do and it seems like an understanding of physics within the game. It owuld be the same as shooting a wisp into a wall or ceiling. It just seems more impactful because its a boss mob.

    Wanted to give him a push and boom, 75% of it's hp was gone.

    Unlimited Item Cheese 🧀: use artifact of sacrifice and get to the void fields, time stops while in the void fields. If you activate vents opponents will spawn until charged. Stand outside the vent and just kill opponents and they will drop items. Razorwire, Armor, and Bungus makes this an afk farming sim and a guaranteed win even on monsoon!

    Try the dragon egg fuel cell glitch. If you're in dragon egg form, and you have a dragon egg off cooldown with the fuel cell, you can use it again inside dragon egg form, which if your in a tight corner, pushes you through the floor mesh and lets you basically walk through walls. Found it out when in the void fields with some friends, nothing could attack us since we were under the floor

    I could see the physics bugs potentially getting fixed in the next update, as Hoppoo did mention in the dev thoughts that a Unity Engine update would be coming in the patch to fix some crashes.

    1. For lunar coins imo, if you play solo you can edit, but if you play multiplayer either dont edit them or just restrict your self to like 6 coins for the entire game.
    2. For the momentum one shot, that is really not intended since you are doing like 90% of a boss hp with terrain.

    Pretty sure enemies taking damage upon collision is intentional. You can also do that to grounded enemies under the right circumstances.

    Ohhh so that's the momentum bug. In a few of my runs, I kept killing vagrants and the alloy worship unit super quickly and I was getting really confused as to what was happening. I knew it was a bug of some sort, but I didn't know what caused it. Good to know the reason behind it.

      The damage flying enemies take from hitting into surfaces was added into the game, so it’s likely not a bug

    as someone who plays almost exclusively single player, the lunar coin edit for me makes it a lot more interesting and fun! but i do think maybe single player lunar coin count should be seperate from multiplayer lunar coin count, which could be kept online

    With Acrid if you click shift u reset your auto so with a couple of syringes u'r basicly using Merc R but as melee. just hold AA and tap shift to reset the AA. takes some time to get used to but it's pretty op

    Works like engineer shield, nothing can hit you in it, but it's even more strong since ennemies can't come into it

    Maybe with the lunar coin thing, make it that you have your own set amount of lunars in multiplayer and it resets on leaving a game. Keeping the coins if you restart a run

    I Think booping or as you Call it “momemtum exploit”’ing is such a cool mechanic.. it took me 6-10 runs with merc to ‘master’ it and i’m enjoying it so much, i Think if they removed This one or most other exploits it would only hurt the game cus i personally like game mechanics that ‘can’ be abused

    I don't mind the lunar coin thing and I actually use it because I go really like how it can change your run and there is still no guarantee you will get what you want from the blue portal such as the trading 5 green items for a red item, not saying it's not game changing but it doesn't completely make every run perfect. Anyway, I don't think this should be removed because it's the players choice if they want to do this or not. For your argument about quick-play, personally I've never used it, they could add a voting system for stuff like which portals you like and the lunar stuff. Anyway I can't imagine someone spamming their lunar coins being more annoying than someone hogging all the items or just your teammate making dumb mistakes like going through the teleporter instead of a gold, blue or celestial portal. Quick-play has it's problems (I assume at least) a part from people abusing lunar coins.
    Also Woolie, through the file you can also give yourself every achievement in the game, unlocking the whole thing without you having to do anything. Just wanted to point out that you can do much more with the text file.

    As for the lunar coin problem, I haven't played the game in a while so this may have already been solved, but assuming it's still a problem as described in this video:
    TLDR: Players who legitimately farmed coins can cause the exact same problems in a multiplayer run. Multiplayer isn't perfect, and many players probably wouldn't mind having someone with unlimited coins in their run (they could also just leave). As for solutions, the easiest to me seems to be to just make your coins not carry over to multiplayer, and give each player a fixed amount at the start of a run (maybe 5, or even 0). The real problem is probably the coins themselves tho - I don't think it's a good idea for a game like RoR2 to have a mechanic that allows one run to directly affect another. Maybe coins should be used to purchase unlockables or cosmetics outside of runs.
    Long versoin:
    1) Couldn't the same thing happen if a player has legitimately farmed hundreds of lunar coins? What's to stop them from "ruining" another player's run?
    2) Exploitations like this are just part of most multiplayer games, especially those without the financial resources to stop them. Many online games constantly have to deal with cheaters like hackers/aimbotters/scripters/etc, or just people who exploit bugs/glitches/whatever. As far as that goes, this honestly doesn't seem that bad.
    3) Is it really that harmful to a run? Sure, there will be some players who complain about it destroying the "integrity" of their run, but I think many players would actually have a lot of fun getting to experience a run like that - especially if the guy with the coins shares items (assuming you can do that - again I haven't played in a while). Plus, if the guy with the coins is being a dick, you can just leave right? It's not like you lose that much time - you can figure out really quickly if someone is working with a massive amount of coins because they will be buying everything with them.
    As for possible solutions, 2 immediately came to my mind:
    1) Just don't allow coins to carry over to multiplayer. Every player in a multiplayer game can just start with a fixed amount of coins, maybe even 0. This would also fix the aforementioned problem of people who farmed massive amounts of coins legitimately "ruining" runs just like players who gave themselves the coins.
    2) Rework the lunar coin mechanic altogether. Perhaps this problem is really just a symptom of the real problem, which is a mechanic that allows one run to influence another. Part of what makes games like RoR2 fun is that each run is separate - the only exception being unlockables, but even those don't actually carry from run to run, they just give you more options in each run. I think a lot of people would agree that the downsides of this mechanic outweigh the benefits. Like Woolie said, who wants to spend hours and hours farming? I think it's a good idea to have a special currency that carries on between runs, but I don't think it should be spendable within runs. Perhaps it could be used to buy unlockables (like enter the gungeon, for anyone who knows about that game), or to buy cosmetics.

    I personally feel lunar coins is needed for a better flow of the game especially when your in a group the flow of the match can be paced and with the new updates its basically law to spawn, try to look for newt ( 3) spawns, get items/fight boss. If u dont have lunar coins like a beginner u would not know builds like my fave spinel tonic with fuel cells. They dont understand these mechanics so yea the game with be changed drastically if u dont have lunar coins cuz a veteran has control of their map and i play arti shes great if u can get her to late game. Her hover is definitely noticeable when ur zooming around the mapp looking for newt and u can hover most the time with control. These things u will not learn early on u will not have early on. But u spend 10 lunar coins for arti. I feel arti keeps up as the game evolves. We got ult moves and skins she gets ion surge(mobility) keep up with newts ez (merc huntress and loader r the main ones in the group to get newt) now with the acrid and all theres more characters for melee builds and for different items to horde. Also now with the added stages and stages to come, picking the stage is definitely the evolution of the game expanding and growing it should be normal to go in get newt for tp check store next stage. Shouldnt a standard be created. Should people be better at picking the right items they need rather then face checking everything. There is no order without chaos and vice versa.

    maybe they can make you start with 3-5 lunar coins each online match. Perhaps making 3 modes, 1 where you spawn with no lunar coins (you can still get them from rng though), one where you get 3-5 lunar coins at the start, and one where each player starts with 999, it'd be fun

    Clipping through the desert door is not even close to intended. Clipping is never intended. I would like them to fix that and instead make the pressure plates be held down for a certain amount of time after being activated. long enough to get them with every survivor if you got some kind of movement items or perfect pathing to the other plate.
