Play this 2p with my wife. We treat the first half like we're doing a co-op puzzle. 2nd half as a ruthless bloodbath 😂. To get more out of the viking phase we'll sometimes pull all our vikings and have another go. Great game.
Let's call it a more "turbulent" Carcassonne. I wouldn't quite jump to calling it "mean," but there's a smidge more tension - at least in the second half.

Franz (self explanatory) Benno ( Ben - O) DeLonge (De-Long maaaybe De-Lonj) I know Americans have a thing where they don't think they can pronounce any name longer than 4 letters long that isn't Smith. It's a weird cultural touchstone but it's clearly a true one. But in this case I find it offensive. Say the man's name, he's dead, put some respect on him. You could have taken the 10 seconds to find it how to say a dead man's name, one that is in no way complicated. It's fine in conversation but this ain't a conversation, this is a professional product you are putting out into the world. If you can't say the name, don't hit record. Pretty basic editorial standards. I was excited for a review of a game I love, but turned it off when you couldn't be bothered to show the designer enough respect to say his easy to say name.
First, I understand your reaction to that he won't pronounce his name but you must remember that Usians have entered an age where the fear of offending others is so high it overshadows any good intent. Second, if he had said the man's name and it would likely be "wrong", the Hyenas of the Internet would have surrounded him and shred him to pieces. He is damned if he do and damned if he doesn't.
