Btw, Rufus Dawes, as i just learned via @GaryAckerman, was the great-grandson of William Dawes - one of the famed "Midnight Riders" with Paul Revere! ALSO - Dawes gives hands-down some of the best firsthand accounts of the battle of Gettysburg, and especially, of Day One.
