Record stores have always been weird to go into. I find most are jerks because they pay so much for them now

Thanks for this very useful video.
    Question:
What do you do to avoid in your physical store, thief (especially CDs) and mistreatment (jackets and/or vinyl).
When your budget is low, you can't hire employees. A record store with only 1 clerk is easy prey for 3 or 4 guys willing to steal...

About used CDs, a record store here in Athens keeps the CDs separate from the cases and covers and gives them together when you go to the cashier to pay. If they're sealed, you can make an iron construction on the shelf, in which the customer can search the CDs, but to get it out of there, the shopkeeper has to unlock them. If I find a picture, I'll send you. About mistreatment, have vinyl records (and CDs) in thin plastic sleeves (you can find them online) and put a sticker with the condition. (cover + media). This will buy the buyer time and help avoid abuse vinyl records too much by searching and checking.

This is a very interesting subject for a video. I know some things but I must make a big research for that.
