It's certainly alright for someone who wants to at least give vinyl a try. You can always upgrade later if you decide that vinyl LP is a path you want to continue. I use the $30. VIBE SOUND. And I promise you that it has NOT ruined any of my records. Trust me! I have a copy of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (1977) on vinyl LP. And it is still working perfectly!

Parabellum - Sacrilegio is also very expensive ranging from $500 (bad condition) to $2000 USD.

Thank you for this video! I was looking for an alternative to buy for my children to get into vinyl, you're totally right, we used to play vinyls in cheap players and we enjoyed it! that's why i'm gonna buy a crosley, for me this is a toy but for the children will be a great source of memories!

A couple of months ago i found in an antiques fair "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" and also Dio's 2nd record, all records in very good condition. They're both the first portuguese release, 1980 and 81. When the old man asked 40 euros for all three records - 15 each with a 5 euro discount for buying three LP's - just couldn't believe. I still have them in my humble collection. I love this channel - greetings from Portugal.

I would also like to add that when there are obscure artist which released in limited quantities, if you have a story behind a release or re release, like as an example, Michael Jackson was made to re release History album or should I say black or white song because he used the term Kike, which was offensive to Jews and both the cd and album were redone to omit it. The albums with the word Kike are valuable. If you have a band like Alice N Chains, whose album’s haven’t been re released in any major fashion, I think only two have Dirt, a regular studio album and Unplugged which is a live album, the originals go for a crazy amount of money if you can find them. Kings X is another example of a band with not a lot of their original catalog on re release, which sores the prices because the quantities are so limited.

I have the Crosley Cruiser Plus and a Pioneer stereo component system with a turntable. I got the Crosley since it's more portable and I can take it into the dining area near the kitchen whenever I need to cook. I love it. I don't think it ruins records. I have had records since the 60's and back then I had kid's record players. I still have those records and they play fine. Records are designed to handle heavier downforce so I think it's fine.

Ur Greek accent reminded me of talking with Sakis Tolis when he was playing here with RC and I got to chat with him after the show :)

Good video! I need a small system for downstairs (wife work upstairs) that is quality, yet not too loud (even if I love it loud!). I have hundreds of albums from the 70's & 80's and want to play them. I'm torn between getting a higher system or trying to find a Crosley-Victrola at a decent price just to hear for myself how they actually sound.

The funny thing is, back then when 666 was released, Marcel was really struggling to offload all 200 copies, lol

I think you´re missing some countries here (like South Korea and Germany (and Russia some years later))...I got 28 in my collection in 68 versions so far ;) Zimbabwe should be up there in the top 3 in my opinion, as a copy sold for over 900€. Those really rare ones usually don´t sell openly but within the die hard collectors. The blue colombian easily goes for 1500€ now. Bolivia exists in two versions, with b/w back and with blue colured back (the rarer and more expensive one). There´s also a second irish version much rarer than the one with cream coloured labels, let me know if you need some pics and details. Apart from that, great video, much appreciated!
