Watch the videos of the Verge 451 family. Though I wanted the x11 or p10 because of their higher end components and hydraulic disc brakes. it's excessively expensive so I'm going for the D9
I bought a Tern Link D8 back in 2013 and later in 2015 I added a BionX e-kit. I love my bike and adding the e-kit was a wise albeit not cheap expense that has me out and about on it more.
Received my P10 yesterday I'm planning to ride it today. The one thing I can't get my head around after 40 years in engineering is why they didn't position to rubber strap mounting pin further forward so the strap tucks away tidily under the frame rather than sticking out because the cable lug is in the way, anybody could work that one out. If the simple things aren't designed properly then I wonder about other more complex parts like folding joints etc, time will tell.
My advice would be Verge, 20in wheels are better than 16's on the Brompton. The Derailleur gears on the Verge are so much better than Sturmey Archer on the Brompton. As the video shows, the Verge folds and if it had to be folded to get onto a train that would be no problem.
Purchased my P10 February 2020. Love this bike and it handles very well. I ride a paved trail with some long grades with ease. Coming from a mid drive 20" 250w folder I had my doubts. I couldn't be happier and the only flaw I can find is a rubber plug that sits on the top of the main hinge. Looks like an after thought to keep debris out of that area. Popped out first ride and lost it. I ride 100 miles a week and love the P10 more every time.
Someone stole my MTB bike SCOTT SCALE 760, so I am seriously considering buying folding-type. This one strongly attracts me, especially hydraulic brake on folding-type minivelo.
aditya yuli Prasetya Yeah those 451 wheels make a hell of defences don't it... I have the D9 but omg! I wanted that P10 so bad... The P10 looks alone the lines similar but a little more sportier... But I'm a happy owner of the D9 never the less, the coast of the P10 was just a tad bit in the higher coast bracket for me... I just thought I would vouch with you on the Tern Verge and it's 451 wheel set... It's great...
ClayDog MadMan 451 wheels feel more stable at the road...feel similar to my roadbike with more upright position...plan to change to ultegra r8000 crankset, bottom bracket and front derailer..i think i can reduce some weight from reguler FSA crankset already installed..for me my p10 not just for commuter but for touring too..

So is it all in theory that you would get the particular performance you so desire by replacing FSA crankset that's installed already... Not an actual fact that it would be a for sure quality difference now would it, I mean that's seem a bit of a bold gamble, not say that anything would go horribly wrong... But I definitely want you to keep me in loop with this modification change you're making... I plan on a slight, but not so bold modification with the D9... I'm replacing the stem neck with either the P10 or X11 version... I need that shorter stem so I can have a lower arch in my bike riding... That's about the only changes I have thus far... But hey man, good luck with the replacement change, and let me know how it works... If there's by any chance I can upgrade to a better performance then I would like some pointers... So yeah sir keep me informed, thank you... And be well my man...

This bike can fit riders as small as 4'8". If you're a shorter person, the small adjustments you can make to the handlebar angle might be enough for a more upright position if that's what you're looking for. Tern bikes don't have adjustable stems typically, because they want to offer the best ride quality possible.

TERN is lightning year in front of Brompton in my opinion ... IF travel is your way of life go for BROMPTON if you like fun and cool rides TERN VERGE X11 I enjoyit or P10
There is no post pump on this bike, but 2.5 lbs is a pretty significant amount of weight to try to reduce. The Kickstand and saddle would not make a huge difference.
to NYCE wheels: I'm on the fence between x11 and p10. What's the key differences in durability of the parts on the bikes/ performance gain? Would it be better to buy a p10 then upgrade to X11 specs or just bite the bullet and spend the extra $1k on the X11?
After buying all the upgrades you'd need to match the spec of the X11, you'd be spending more for the parts and labor to have a shop install them, and then be left with a solid component group that you wouldn't use. The X11 is certainly the higher performer and quite a bit lighter, but the P10 still has solid components. Just depends on how important lighter weight and speed is to you!

The stock seatpost should be able to accommodate your height, but if for any reason it's not quite enough, Tern does offer a telescopic seatpost which is perfect for taller folks like yourself.
The P10 is the best of the bunch. The X11 is overkill. Put a litepro 58 tooth ring on the P10 like I did on mine. And you will FLY. I've hits speeds close to 30mph on the flat with that set up. It's an amazing bike for £1200
The main differences between the D9 and P10. Is the weight of the D9 is about 3lbs heavier (28LBS VS 25LBS) and it has 1 less gear. And it comes set with wider tyres with less aero wheels. Not the Schwalbe one racing tyres. In Summary it's a slower heavier bike. Really the one to go with is the P10. It is the perfect bike for the money. Its £300 more expensive than the D9. But £1000 cheaper than the X11. And I cannot justify that price difference between the P10 and the X11. for essentially. 3lbs less weight. 22lbs vs 25lbs..And one more gear. Because essentially those are the only two major differences. You are paying nearly double the price for. It's like people paying 5k for an ultra light carbon road bike. Weighing 14lbs. While the next guy might pay 2k for a 17.5lb carbon road bike. In a professional riding arena the price difference could be justified. As that lighter bike would likely win the race for two evenly matched cyclists. But in the everyday commuting world. Is it really that important to arrive at your destination in say 30 minutes instead of 32 minutes for the same effort. Thats how you have to look at it.
*1:40** Any bike like this should come with hollowtech bottom bracket. Makes me cringe seeing bikes of this price with old square tapered bottom bracket.*

I assume if you removed the kick stand, replaced the post pump, and put a lighter saddle you could drop the overall weight by 2.5 pounds? Yes?
