hmm sevey is likeable, and dont get me wrong hes prob a nice guy but I never spent much time talking with him in the pits so I dont know him that well, hes comming up well the last 2 years but maybe too good always seems to be a foil to my favorite drivers
its fun to watch the shorter silver crown races but I wonder what people prefer, they are made for mile tracks and do best there though only race on them in the land of lincolin or occasionaly another horse track of that size, and where it has all out speed and requires more thought as to when to pass and when one can, but the sprint size events like this and the 4 crown's run are an all out giantic sprint car like run and never short on action where they have to really handle the cars.
    wonder what people like more

    Clutches and starters?

They all have the ability to start up on their own. Some can do it internally, others have to do it externally, not including pushing it.

well external starters as far as I have seen and a hand clutch I belive allowed a reverse gear on for transiting around the pits but racing is all of one gear just like sprint cars they must start on own with starter if push started start from the rear I belive current rules are, they are for all intents and purpose though modern versions of front engine indycars that they ran on the dirt tracks back in the day before they split the dirt division from the pavment, in 1971, silver crowns also have a pavement version and have 75 gallons of alcohol for running a 100 mile or slightly more race on one tank of fuel, just like back in the days of foyt and andretti, parnelli jones, swikert, and for a time tom biggalow

@manga12 well your kind of right, but kind of wrong. Technically, for qualifying, they're supposed to be able to power up and get going on their own. However, the race director has the ability to abolish that rule and make everyone get pushed off for qualifying, if necessary. At the start of the a main, all the silver crown cars are pushed off to be started.

@@sweetdaddydee1314 um the last part is is not so at the stand alone races I have been beside the cars when they fire up its very much like the indy 500 and nascar, they give the introduction, and the command start your engines and they wind em up with an external starter motor, this I have witnessed at carb night 2022 and 2023 for the hoosier 100 and last year at the vogler classic at winchester, now eldora for the 4 crown nationals its not as formal that much is true but usually they do it like indycar as for intents and purposes they are a modern form of dirt champ car front engine roadsters like those of so long ago, only they are flat noses and have a rollcage but from afar many of them from the side will resemble one of the old roadsters from back in the hey day and height of usac racing

@manga12 i mean, i was physically at the silver crown race at port royal, they pushed all the cars off individually for everything. And i was going off of what the announcers said. They literally said the race director had the ability to make that call during qualifying, in regards to pushing off or going on their own power for qualifying.
