I feel like the start was a bit negative. I'm a short, chubby girl and I, in your definition, do not have the right body type to wear a slip dress. I think they look good on anyone and they definitely look good on me. Dresses make me look boxy usually but honestly, they're very slimming dresses and look good on more than just tall, skinny girls.

I am a 41 year old, 5ft2ins "short", size 12-14 at the moment, large chest, small waist, wide hips, "chubby" by this definition, and my black lacy slip dress is the most flattering dress I own! I think the best advice is to shop around to find one that suits you, not simply "avoid completely if you're short / chubby"!
Agreed! due to Chicago's brisk weather in the Fall and Winter, I end up wearing a lot of cardigans. Nothing wrong with them but I get bored. Is there another way we can keep warm without cardigans?

WoW i am the first today to respond.Good advice for the slip dresses or top. I have a lot of old beautiful slip tops and I usually wear them with blazers. Lauren looks beautiful with this hairstyle. I also like to see her with red lipstick. A big hug to Lauren from all of us.
I have a curvy body and big booty lol ... I truly just wear the slip dresses that have a TINY like Aline effect if that makes sense lol and I wear jackets with them =] I feel like your stacy from what not to wear vibes =] .. other than the slip dress I NEVER wear Aline because it makes me look huge lol..
