This is similar to the $35 Bible I got from Truth For Life, but that one is only available in brown and it has two ribbons. The quality has exceeded every expectation I could have imagined at that price point. There is a TFL page added to it, but I'm not complaining about that.
I purchased the TfL Bible at Christmas time. I gave away the one I reviewed. I try to keep a few, and give the rest away locally because I don't have room. At one point I had over 200 Bibles in my office.
I picked up an ESV Large Print Thinline recently (not the reference version). It's 10pt font etc., but the page bleed through is probably the worst I've seen. It's pretty disappointing because I really want an ESV in the 10pt font range and that's about my only option (from Crossway anyway). Maybe the only way to solve this is with their premium editions.
If you get an edition that is made by Royal Jongbloed in the Netherlands, they use a higher quality paper. Buying a premium, made by them, would probably do the trick.
@@BobSnyderSnyderssoapbox Thanks, I'll do some further digging. Crossway's publication arm in general disappoints me. I have other translations (NLT, CSB) in similar format and price range that are much better in terms of readability, font size etc. I might explore Cambridge's options too.
