"In the days before the Void consumed much of the Old World, there were stalwart humans, elves, dwarves, and gnomes who banded together to invade the deep places of the earth. These heroes forged unbreakable alliances in search of knowledge, treasure, and glory. Rival adventuring parties would often descend into the same dungeon, and these companies fought one another as fiercely as they battled the monsters that lurked behind every dark corner. These were daring times, when nothing in the world was considered more sacred than the oath that bound those who shared the dangers of the pit together. This was the age of the Dungeon Alliance.
Dungeon Alliance is a deck-building, dungeon-crawling miniatures adventure game that allows players to send 1-4 different teams of adventurers into perilous dungeons in search of experience and treasure. At the start of the game, each player drafts their own team of four heroes (from the 17 included in the game) and uses tactical movement and card play to overcome the dungeon's monsters and treasures. Each player starts with a unique twelve-card starting deck that includes the starting cards from all four of their heroes.
Rival teams may compete with one another to slay monsters, or even battle one another for complete domination. As each team of heroes overcomes monsters and challenges, they earn experience point (XP) tokens that they can spend to purchase new cards for their alliance decks. Once spent, XP tokens are flipped face down and kept until the end of the game. When the sun greets those who emerge from the pit, the alliance that has accrued the most XP claims the mantle of victory.

I didn’t back this one but it’s strictly preference for me. Not to take anything from Cthulhu at all. I am blown away with the production quality and these videos help with deciding future backing with companies that do it right. We had a lot of fun with 3 players on episode 1 with the yellow king. I think it would run great solo with 2 investigators. Very easy to follow rules. Only thing we wanted was flavor text for a successful scenario. Winning was a little anticlimactic without some flavor. And it isn’t much to ask since there’s great text on investigators and intro to scenario. Hoping I didn’t miss it somewhere.

Some real horror models there, the tiles look really good as well. Lots of information on the player boards, so are we getting a playthrough with Adam starring in the lead investigator role? :) Great unboxing, thanks Adam.

Just finished my first solo play through. Very fun, difficulty ramps up as the game goes on, barely survived but man that pressure helped with the entertainment. I didn’t get the second season, but did get the kickstarter unspeakable 📦. Great minis and neat gameplay
If you do a solo run, can you NOT do the first episode? ;)

I did Season 1- Episode 1 as I figured it'd be the best way to learn the game to show the kids (also boardgamers), and CMON did the same in their Kickstarter campaign...so selfishly I'd vote for a season 2 episode as they don't seem to play a proper campaign (so no spoiler concerns) 😎

Why do I suddenly feel a huge empty hole in my life? Even though I have so many other games that are as good as this game. Even though I have so many unopened games. Are we addicted? I backed Dawn of Madness, but I feel frustrated that I missed this game. You really are the best unboxer, such a tease.

such a ripoff for a glorified risk clone. you’re just paying for the miniatures, and they’re preassembled, which is stupid.
Death May Die was my surprise hit of 2019. The gameplay is always edge of your seat entertainment. This has no connections to Risk style gameplay and it sounds like you’ve never played it…
You seem mad at something but it isn’t this game. Hope things turn around for you!
