I would recommend making friends to play with since the randoms you play with aren’t playing by the rules and standards you’ve set for them. But based on this video I’m assuming that would be hard for you.

If you don't have the respect for your teammates in a team game to see a mission through even though it's on "easy mode", then why should I have the respect for you to watch your clutches after the fact? I understand the want to be better at the game, but there's no reason to publicly flaunt the fact that you disrespect others for their choice of playstyle. Thank you for your well-worded comment! Typically, I would not have included those clips, but I promised "The Authentic Public Game Experience," and this IS the authentic public game experience. The game is in a sorry state. Spawns don't work more often than not. Smite continues to put the game on pause. Plasma/Burnluggers/Psyker in general delete the entire game before anyone else sees it, and sometimes before even they see it themselves. Zealots can simply run past the entire game in stealth without effort. Thunder Hammers turn monstrous missions into "hi-shock with an occasional charged attack from the Zealot." These have been problems for a minimum of an entire year. This is the absolute state of Darktide. People can play however they like, of course. I am nobody's master. I just want to find decent gameplay and get better at the game, but the aforementioned items destroy any chance of that happening. I would prefer not to leave lobbies, but until the overall balance gets fixed, I can only let those people have their toys without me, which I personally think is a win-win.

In my case when I use Smite, I use it so someone can get a safe rez up, do an objective or when we get a crusher/bullwark squad rush us. There are tones of people that still use Smite like it's the only weapon in their arsenal, those are the annoying people to play with.

This just results in frustration and will likely end in a rage quit, which is worse in the long run. Isn't the aim of a game to have fun? I personally leave lobby's, if I know I will get frustrated if I stay and have no idea why this would equate to pettiness? It's a really baffling take.
I feel like the game gets hard and hectic enough, when you're really in the thick of it, that the weapon choice of others is sometimes moot. Also while some builds are stronger than others it feels more like a tier list of how well they handle a problem cause I'm sure you know any weapon can be deadly in the right hands, against the right target. Frankly I see way more crappy weapons and people under preforming that dulls the aspect that it is a team based game. I didn't love the era of having to creep along and slowly pick off every room so at least we have the power to push it to the limit sometimes, to the point you make mistakes, and learn from that too.

@magicstuart4912 it's got insane cleave and insane damage. Unbalanced compared to other ranged weapons. Boltgun atleast gets a kind of a long draw time. And it doesn't even overheat with the left clicks. It's just braindead point and shoot
Randoms is a nightmare because 90% of the time you'll be playing with idiots who blow everything up *or* stand around like clueless morons instead of completing tasks to progress mission objectives. Worse still, they don't even comprehend nor attempt to complete relic puzzles for mission penances. Normally I *always* go toughness and stamina Curio, but when I am playing with random goobers in normal Heresy or lower rated missions I get health or go full sprint efficiency (which is better) so I can quickly escape any situations where I'll get toughness bypass damage, just so I can survive their dumb. Don't even bother with Maelstrom with randoms, unless you enjoy taking 40 minutes to finish with 10+ deaths, trying to carry people who are worse companions than the bots.

@@yadunknow3436 you could call the devil claw a crutch now thanks to the update that made it block when you parry until the animation ends, so its near dueling sword kind of OP but still needs you to be decent at melee fundamentals, i personally wouldnt call anything in the game a crutch except for smite, that shit is effortless, high performing, braindead and boring for everyone involved

@@stayfrosty706 How is it petty though? Why should I or any other player endure half an hour playing with someone running a meta build who will delete everything by themselves? This just results in frustration and will likely end in a rage quit, which is worse in the long run. Isn't the aim of a game to have fun? I personally leave lobby's, if I know I will get frustrated if I stay and have no idea why this would equate to pettiness? It's a really baffling take.

I feel like the game gets hard and hectic enough, when you're really in the thick of it, that the weapon choice of others is sometimes moot. Also while some builds are stronger than others it feels more like a tier list of how well they handle a problem cause I'm sure you know any weapon can be deadly in the right hands, against the right target. Frankly I see way more crappy weapons and people under preforming that dulls the aspect that it is a team based game. I didn't love the era of having to creep along and slowly pick off every room so at least we have the power to push it to the limit sometimes, to the point you make mistakes, and learn from that too.

What's wrong with the plasma gun? One of the best players I have had the privilege of running a few missions with done well with it.
@magicstuart4912 it's got insane cleave and insane damage. Unbalanced compared to other ranged weapons. Boltgun atleast gets a kind of a long draw time. And it doesn't even overheat with the left clicks. It's just braindead point and shoot

Randoms is a nightmare because 90% of the time you'll be playing with idiots who blow everything up *or* stand around like clueless morons instead of completing tasks to progress mission objectives. Worse still, they don't even comprehend nor attempt to complete relic puzzles for mission penances. Normally I *always* go toughness and stamina Curio, but when I am playing with random goobers in normal Heresy or lower rated missions I get health or go full sprint efficiency (which is better) so I can quickly escape any situations where I'll get toughness bypass damage, just so I can survive their dumb. Don't even bother with Maelstrom with randoms, unless you enjoy taking 40 minutes to finish with 10+ deaths, trying to carry people who are worse companions than the bots.
