In one of the biggest shocks of the elections, Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma defeated BJP’s Smriti Irani, a cabinet minister by 1.6 lakh votes. His daughter Anjali says that Irani can call her father a clerk or an ant, but in the end victory has been theirs. KL Sharma and Anjali join me on this episode of Table Talk to speak about the historic win at Amethi and why they chose to not react to Smriti Irani.

Amethi has been under Gandhi family for 30 years and still Amethi is considered as one backward constituency in UP. My point is why Gandhi is rated so high when they couldn’t improve there constituency and amethi is baston place of Gandhi family. When International media travel to that constituency and see that there is no proper roads and infrastructure wise it’s not Upto the mark. Then obviously question would arise on Gandhi family what have they done in amethi for 30 years and Kishori Lal has won on his merits.
