How on earth does the Ride Cast only have 2k subs. People need to be blowing this up. Great to hear and see the offsled side of you guys. One of the best parts of riding with friends is talking about it all after you get back to the cabin!
waiting for the jerry's, they're gonna bring some party into this🙃
Been preaching it for years. Your gear is for my life. 45:34 45:36 What’s your life worth.
Key point; picking your partner: the person in trusted with your life . Enjoyed the podcast.
Dawson has to be the most down to earth person ever
It's almost like he act like a Swede ;)
Glad there’s a cat guy in the group to see how they stack up against everyone else. I used to watch Kyle and Caleb every chance I got because they were on cats and represented them well.
With that being said chase is a hell of a rider too putting that cat in the same areas as the turbos are getting.
Lotta talent sitting in that room.
I want a Jerry's podcast, Jerry's Jerry's Jerry's Jerry's Jerry's Jerry's.
Great episode! Pretty cool with the riding footage your talking about mixed in
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm pumped chase is on a 165 alpha. Nice to see a cat in the group.
I literally think the same as Dawson. The sun wrecks the snow.
this is simply the best. comments with inserted clips makes it seem like WE were there.
Love this definitely keep doing these
More to come!
I love that matt rides with a group of the best riders in the world . 🤘 matt included !
most of old schooler wont talk much about this but we liked the jerry alot and since there was a skill gap, it seemed like he had more time to setup and get a good view for us. hard sketchy line give little maneuver and when they are chasing each other its hard to get a clean angle. filming in BC is going againts physics and filming with pro is pushing the limit too hard in my opinion. still amazing content but id like some old style with 16 peoples in drainage, cabin camping, unstucking jerry, old sled and 46's whipping. i know it cannot always be about this but muskoka isnt all about hard fpv treeriding and chute pull. like dawson said the 160's took some of the fun away because they go too fast 😂
I'm here for the Arctic cat
Atta boy Chase! Cat pride! 💪💪
That was cool, thanks for putting this together.
Great points brought up! Keep it up!
This was a fantastic podcast. Can't wait for more!
We rode for years in the mountains with minimal avy education thinking we knew enough to keep ourselves out of trouble. Finally our group took our AST1 and wow. Everyone in the group realized we had been very lucky up to that point, not being in any serious avalanche incidents. You don't know what you don't know. We live 12+ hours from any mountains and it took a lot of convincing to take a day off of riding and do the AST1, but man was it worth it. Now, I wouldn't want to ride with people without at least their AST1. The people you are riding with are the ones you have to depend on if something does go wrong. Get the education and just as important, practice. If you get buried and it is the first time people in your group are turning their transceivers to search, there's going to be problems.
I can’t wait to watch Caleb’s and Matt’s video of the day with that huge crew y’all were posting on your stories… Polaris boys and ski doo boys all together. 👌🏼
The ultimate xmas gift ever would be to spend a day or two shredding the mnts with muskoka, celeb, and keith curtis. And Dawson of course. Can't wait for tomorrow to watch the next ride. Hopefully it's gonna be footage of the clips they showed today with the knarly chutes and pillows. Great pod cast Matt. Cheers 🍻 boy's.
Rockey talkie makes a durable water resistant push to talk Mic I run that on my baofeng with a mountain lab skin works great
Awesome. ❤ liked and shared. All I want to do now is part my big rig and hit up a mountain. Awesome stuff guys.
Everyone should have a inreach ,text your buddy I'm going down DONT RELY ON A RADIO if your going down either text someone with your 7s gauge, or inreach. Every single person in our group carry a inreach, if you can afford a can or a wrap you can afford a inreach period
The background knowledge is really cool to know! I think you should look at starting a clinic!
Love these. Matt, you ARE the youtube content creator for this sport! I am looking forward to the ride videos with this crew!
Hey Matt
You should get with David McClure and Riley Kincade and ride a few days then have them on your podcast.
Dawson, your not the only guy that loves only deep Stormy days!! I live for them @snowderdy
ever had a deep blue bird day? :P
Love the deep days but also love the sun!
Interested to hear if you continue to like the Oxbow radio. The Oxbow itself is a great radio. But I’ve found the mounting set up prone to breaking. After nearly losing mine (saved only because i looped the wrist strap around my backpack strap), I copied your baofeng set up from previous seasons. I tend to think the radio in the backpack with the handset over the shoulder out front is a great set up.
Love these! Where’s the new riding vid with Keith!?
The radio issue was 100% ice/moisture in mic. Will happen with frog skin on also if super wet out, very noticeable. Agreed bca needs to come with frog skin
These are awesome!
I just want to know where the video is with Keith and the guys! I saw the Instagram tidbit. 😮
What’s wrong with the BCA Tracker 2 just out dated ?
Which bumper do you run on your sleds? The light duty or heavy duty? And do you ever run skid plates on your sleds?
Love it.
Talking about the radios, which radios do you guys use 35:45
Transceivers are expensive same with avy bags but what’s your life worth. You can’t put a price on that.
Regarding buddy who went down to the truck. This is where if guys in the group had zoleo’s or in-reach’s it would have solved all the communication issues.
We have those. Nobody uses them like that
has the video of the video ur talking about in the start come out?
No it hasn’t. Tomorrow!
@@FreeriderFilmz perfect
7:30 no one cut each other line. You just find yourself at the same spot. If i really want to be picky . Caleb cut you, he can see you from the bottom, you where on top and turn around. caleb see you turn around. HE choose to go straaight.
The Mountains and Avalanches don't care if your a pro rider or a beginner, if you look back on deaths from Avalanche, it always reads oh Bob was a professional rider with training, but was killed in a Avalanche, in alot of cases its the Pro guys getting complacent. I personally think we are all guilty of not practicing there avi skills
Ok wheres tbe Curtis day Muskoka quit holding out on us
Speaking of safety, if you're riding with a group that's too large, that opens up another big problem of where everyone is , and to many riders in a group, in my opinion, isn't wise and is a recipe for disaster, of someone going missing and not realize it till its way to late ,anyone seen Bob ? Nope thought you were riding with him nope he went with Steve, no I went left he went right, that kind of thing
You def cut Caleb off lol
I think you two cut eachother off...both to blame in the first clip..
Put the go pro video in then let them decide... First cut off Matt clearly gave Caleb more room then he deserved and still yielded to him. The second one Matt clearly had the high ground and Caleb was just being pissy trying to retaliate that Matt was higher on the mountain and higher on the mountain always has right of way, typical American behaviour. 🤣
