Everyday when I wake up, I tell myself that I’m going to choose to be happy! Just for today, I’m going to be happy! Then I consciously tell myself 3 good things that have happened recently, even if it’s a struggle to find 3 things, I make myself. I tell myself one day at a time, and today is going to be good! I repeat this cycle daily and have been amazed at how it’s completely changed my mood and general outlook on life! We aren’t going to get better over night, but by making small improvements to our mood daily, we will slowly start to find that person inside of us that we’d all love to be. ONE DAY AT A TIME!

Hey, I wanted to say thank you for your help and tips. Last few weeks have been really making me lose my mind, especially last one. I broke up with my boyfriend who was toxic and made my depression and anxiety get stronger day by day. Your last video made me realize that I want to be happy, I deserve and I can be happy. Today I talked about my broke up with my friend, after school we met in park with sweets and ukuleles, we were having fun time talking, playing, singing and dancing for three hours. I finished redecorating my room, added lights here and there, some candles and it makes me feel good about myself. Thank you for helping me. I love you

Honestly when I feel broken, that’s when everything hits me and well....And in that moment I think to myself “this is a lesson I need to learn to not make myself have to go through the situation again & force myself to endure it fully and then yeah....beyond broken. Anyway it is what it is.

  • @vasilisdouklias6992

This reminds of that one time my best friend came to my home utterly broken. I had never see him this sad and broken before and I panicked. And despite having been through a dark, self hating, miserable time myself in the past,I was truly horrified at that moment. I really hope I helped him that day, because he seemed as much broken when he left as when he came over.

Even though I prefer to be alone I would also like some company with me, if you're alone too long you start feeling lonely, which is not good for your mental and psychological wellbeing. I think Humans are supposed to be social, but sometimes they aren't or can't be and that tends to have a negative impact on their psychological wellbeing as well.

Good video, the narrator's voice is wonderfully calming. In our society we are raised to not admit weakness and we feel like we are the only ones with troubles. But everyone at times has problems and negative feelings. It takes more strength I think to admit it than to hide it. If you have a good and trusted friend you can be there for each other.

I also build up my passions and hobbies to switch off from the world around me, to take care of my development and to allow myself for time of reflections. It depends why I feel broken because sometimes it's better to talk to friends about it, indeed.

Someone once told me when I was in high school, “A clean house, (as she gestured around her) is a clean house, (as she pointed to her head)” and honestly that has brought me through so many things. When I know I’m getting down and out and I don’t want to move, I’ll sleep that day and then make a promise with myself that I will clean in the morning. No matter if that means just doing the dishes or just do laundry, I’ll clean something and pick up and light candles and just really get myself working. And I normally always feel better afterwards. Especially when I can sit down after all that hard work and just revel in how much I got done. It makes me feel like I’m not worthless and that I will be able to handle the things that are being through at me.

I downloaded this app called "stop, breath & think" on my phone and its actually amazing. its mostly meditation but when I spend like 3 minutes out of my day to clear my head while listening to this app, it works wonders
I highly recommend this for anyone with conflicting or hurtful thoughts

Really needed this! Now that the weather is better, I can go for way more walks. It really helps! Also cuddling your pets or any pet is great! Especially when that pet is a cat who purrs for you!

I tell myself that for every problem and pressure, I myself is enough. I dont need to torture friends with my stories, go out to walk or distract myself. I just need to be in front of my laptop, do the most tedious work and still can heal myself. I am not weak. I AM STRONG!!

    I do meditation
I talk with a person I trust and understand me not make me feel bad even more because some people tell me that it is silly or exaggeration
So I get more hurt so I talk with people who understand me
That person was my teacher who was a guidance counsellor back in my school I miss her alot she was a warm-hearted person who cares for me and every student I love her❤❤❤

It also helps sometimes to limit your exposure to the news. News items often bum people out, and for most of it there's only so much you can do about it anyway. If necessary, make your home into a current-event-free zone for a while.

After dealing with family drama on my cruise, I definitely needed this. Thank you, Psych2go! I go out a lot to stargaze just to escape the household but my family finds it so weird. I love nature and think on the Lord and His beauty in nature.

Really needed this after a mentally painful day, y'all at Psych2Go seem to know what's on everyone's minds all the time :P
For me, I usually try listening to music and let myself take it all in or let any pain out, it can help from time to time just to let emotions out. I also enjoy cleaning up around me at times, whether it be sweeping the floor, fixing my bed or reorganising stuff! I also love to play music (Alright at guitar and learning piano!)
I hope you all will have a nice day and love you person scrolling through the comments!

Self care is monumentally important people. It can be hard to practice it sometimes but totally worth it. If I don' t unplug and exercise regulatory, things get...bad.

Since I can’t really tell my close friends about what I’m going through I’ll tell what I’m going through here cause it’s more comfortable… Recently my anxiety and depression came back. I’m taking meds right now but it takes about 4 weeks for it to work… my anxiety and depressions been affecting my daily life and how I socialize. It’s so hard to see people that I know and strike a convo with them. With my close friends as well…. It’s also affecting my mindset and it’s just Crazy… and this week I have to much Events going on and I don’t know how I’m going to make it through without breaking down…

Something I recommend is painting your nails. It’s simple, but it makes me feel better to have cute nails, even if I’m down, and it might help you to feel more confident in your appearance

Whenever me or my boyfriend feel broken we find a time where we can both just lay down together, whether that be outside on the grass or inside on a beanbag. We just lay down and relax, usually don't say anything, and are just happy to exist and forget about stress for a while.

Whenever I feel bad for long periods of time I try to get as much easy house chores done, like cleaning, cooking, taking out the trash things like that. I like to cook in particulair when I am feeling down. Because that way I can focus on a relativaly easy task. Sometimes I need to get groceries and then I get outside. You also have food at the end of it so thats great too.
