@@carllisamclawrence9947 he decided himself to only sign a contract for 1 season, he wanted it to be a "quick" job and have the experience end right where it should, his character would only be a "filler" in the next seasons and would not be doing anything important so he and the producers thought it was best, now he has his agenda free for new projects :)
you can find plenty of articles of him explaining his decision, so i assure you he's not sad, he just answered that bc it must have been a wonderful experience to shoot the series!!
also, each season will kind of focus on one of the Bridgerton siblings, Simon being related to Daphne and her season being over, it's just adds up to his presence not being "needed" if you know what i mean ahahah

It is just funny that Jonathan forgot for a moment that he is allergic to cats. He is my favourite character. All of them played so well. It really is an amazing show. Can't wait for season 2.
