Great memories of these beautiful times of music. Best music years ever. I was born in 1962 and very happy that I was able to experience these years when it was noh beautiful music with content. 60s 70s and 80s best years.
I was born in 62 and the early and mid 80s were my favourites, due to nostalgia for my pub and nightclub days. More recently though, I've been listening to late 70s, especially the Eagles after Joe Walsh joined them, Gerry Rafferty, and Dave Edmunds. And also cheesy but good fun Showaddywaddy, although they were around since '74.
This piece has everything that a good 70s song must have: melody, dynamics, mellow synth, great vocals, groove and warm organic sound all around. Many artists were not used to being filmed as this was before MTV but then some were clearly naturals in front of a cam and Kid Hain was definitely part of those.
Beautiful song. Though I was brought up in the 80s, lately I've been listening to the 60s & 70s songs. I've fallen in love with this song. A one hit wonder, but lovely song. ❤️👌Wish I was brought up in the 60s & 70s. 😊 🎶
Dancing in the city by Marshall Hain, a very nice song from the 70's ! I liked it very much and I was 17 at that time. This brings back good nostalgic memories ! To my knowledge, the duo quit after this which was sad. Otherwise they would have been a popular band.
I remember taping this song years ago on a new tape recorder that I had just bought, funny thing when I played it back to listen to see if it had recorded my dad was whistling along with it how did that happen my dad was no where near it when I recorded it SPOOKY OR WHAT? not really I used an old tape and the erase head wanted cleaning so it just recorded over what was originally on the tape ha ha ha ha , Brilliant song though it did sound a bit weird with my dad on it ha ha👍👍👍
Great song that broke away from disco at the time in 78, I love my disco songs.
Still manages to raise my spirits - after soo many years. Seems life was simpler and emotive back then.
A beautiful girl singing a beautiful song. A classic this is.
Late 70`s early 80`s love that era
Her demeanour, especially during the choruses, is very winning - her unassuming smile, gentle swaying and of course those handclaps.
You put it well, sir. She is natural, authentic and beautiful. Beautiful because natural and authentic.

En weer een jeugdherinnering!!
Haha, Julian Marchall is fine-tuning his keyboard while it's playback ;-) Fantastic in 1978, still fantastic more than 43 years later
He's changing the VCF cutoff. Analogue synths were great machines for their earthy sounds.

Whow. That is a long way back. But I know every word, still. Prove it is an AMAZING song (and a good looking woman too :-) )
Heard this song last night while I was dancing in the city
Very beautiful, her face is so cute
How can she be so attractive with no tattoos or piercings?
That's partly the reason why, but yeah so cute!
in those days days tatoos were a feature of inhabitants of prisons
Class
So refreshing
Her ears are pierced but I can’t tell if she’s pierced elsewhere. I have to agree on her looks 100% though.
