This movie was made in my hometown NATCHEZ Ms. and my mother was the lady at the dinner scene with the biscuits.

I remember when this movie came on TV. The sad part is Ali was already beginning to slur his words. He still had that natural charisma though.
He was having trouble remembering his lines. We stood around a barrel they had made a fire in to stay worm in between takes.
My parents took me to the movies to see this when I was a child and it impacts me till this very day !!
Oh did you live in Europe? This was a TV movie in America but I've heard a shorter version played in theaters in Europe.

I am a dear friend to some of Ali's family and they are great people .Ali well the most loving kind giving and caring man and he love the Jewish people.

He plays a slave with his head raised ! What God has exalted can no one lower. He loved everyone and stood for his people. There is nothing wrong with that. I am white and respect him and love him. Honour to whom honor is due. Would be proud if he were white. But even so, he is the most beautiful Boxer and charismatic men !

My father was the man on Ali's left arm. R.I.P. George I. Robinson. He allowed our family the opportunity to meet Mr. Ali. I remember I made him laugh. I was so taken I couldn't even tell the man his name when he asked me!!! Lol! R.I.P. to the GOAT!!!

My cousin dated Ali in the early years, she said if she knew he was going to be famous,she would have stuck with him haha. I always had a secret crush on him when I was young.

Just spotted Ron "o Neal (of SUPERFLY fame) with that handlebar mustache! I've never understood why this film is rarely shown, or not even on DVD (as far as I know) even though Ali starred in it (it was his only real acting role in a film.) Haven't seen this since it was first aired--would love to see it again.
