At the weekend I am taking part in an online dressage. I’m quite exited not having to get up at 5:00 in the morning. It seems very relaxed.🐴😋 -The only thing is, is that my mum is not the best filmer so thats gonna be interesting😋
My friend and I have competed with DRO and absolutely love it! Thank you so much for making a video last year as I would never have heard of them otherwise!!💗

I don't ride bitless but for people that do can you do the test that way? From what I remember you can't compete bitless in dressage (could be thinking sj or xc). Anyway absolutely love the channel it makes me extremely happy to see you with your welshies enjoying life and doing so well!

Thank god you are still on, here in Sweden every event is cancelled as well, nothing happens! Some of the clubs have an "Open course" with a full show jumping course where you can book yourself in for an hour to do the course on your own, it is appreciated by many riders.

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself meg, your a wonderful quiet rider who gets the best out of your horses. You get so down on yourself, and it's great your so humble but have some cockiness, you deserve it, you got 7 8's and a 9 with bear and got several 8's with jam, that's incredible, I don't score that with my 8 year old who had loads more experience than jam. Pat yourself on the back, both tests were lovely to watch. I have done so much scribing in my years and it's so refreshing to see a well schooled horse, ready for the level they are doing. Your one of my favorites to watch by far. P.s. all my first ponies and horses were connemaras, can't replace a good one 😉

I’ve always ridden western my whole life including cattle drives (which every horseman should do. Driving cattle by day and sitting by campfire and eating, singing and sleeping under the stars. Waking up to the smell of coffee) Anyhow was just learning English, and was I missing the flying lead changes?? I just didn’t see it here., although I think I see it on the far side of Bears canter. I still love riding western, but also love cross country, but I have a feeding tube in my stomach and sometimes one in my nose, which isn’t good for jumping. Lol.

Seriously looking forward to doing some online tests with my youngsters after I've started them.

@@saoirsehealy6601 I'm no Megan Elphick but I Reccomend that if you have never backed or had a youngster before I reccomend you get something already backed and possibly the basics done depending on the extent of your abilities. That way it's a little easier to start with. You'd still have a project that hasn't done or saw a lot. It just means you don't have to rush in to it and possibly get it wrong and give the pony a bad experience.
I love your vlogs! I am in the United States and our ribbons are different. It is my understanding that in Britain they give Red for first and Blue for second. If this is true, could you please do an educational video explaining the ribbons and the placements for those of us across the pond? Also, just curious about why you call your mom Hobbit?
Calico Oaks yeh it’s goes red, blue, yellow, green, pink then purple traditionally here! However, for pony club blue is first and red is second😂 lots of places kind of just do their own thing now though x

I wish I could go to the UK for boarding school and have my own yard at my house. I love going there because I can ride a lot more often as it is much cheaper as it is 45 pounds for 45 minutes of teaching☹️ It’s very expensive!!
5% difference - not sure how many marks the test is out of? Well done - dressage writing is something i've done a lot of and well worth you doing if you can find the time great idea to do the voice over and the judge's marks/comments
Where do we download the BD tests? We can download USDF right from their website, but I'm not finding BD tests on their site. I found 2016 tests on other sites. Are those the most recent? USDF change in 2019. Thanks!

Mark Herdman if I’m not mistaken, you can do it in another saddle. I think Holly Lenahan did hers in her jumping saddle, but I could be wrong!!
