No one can remove her. She's part of the maim lineups since TK3. Didn't even became a DLC character, not a single time. If someone hates her, practice instead of complaining
Bro i actually love xiaoyu as a character and i think she is really fun, but there is no such thing as "just practice her" with all the bs she has, we have to be real here... as someone that plays xiaoyu i perfectly understand why some people just hate her

@@butteredtoast3032 She was one of the main ones from the past I liked. I played with all the characters from Tekken 3, but Ive only played the series on and off. Xiaoyu is the only character Im playing with to master. Salute.
Not because she's my main, she's literally one of the most unique characters.
Me too that’s why she my main and favorite since she stepped on scene and she so fun she keeps you guessing and never know what trick she has up her sleeve and plus players can finally use their best tool…..their brains fighting against her 🙂

Xiaoyu is my fav character shes a strong and tough character if you can’t handle her it’s your skill issues. Sorry to say that.
After playing against two Xiaoyu's in ranked today, I feel like she's playing a different game than everyone else. The amount of times my turn was stolen is egregious.
Speaking of that, her gameplay is also like playing a different game. You just can't use the generic tools and the type of gameplay that you use on the other characters

@@Kazandro thats why she's considered a specialist character. sometimes you have to come up with your own stuff and essentially be a scientist.
Right, but even the tools u r given in the game are unreliable against her. U arent playing Tekken at that point anymore which literally goes against the entire purpose of why u r playing in the first place. And the thing that pisses me off more, ive never encountered such brutally toxic players like the ones that main Xiaoyu or Alisa. Every time i encounter one and i try to learn the match up, they quit after one match. Never giving u the chance to actually learn. I literally just got done fighting a Ling, and they were constantly spamming/evading throughout. Even when figuring out their playstyle, they started to rage art, every fucking round. And ppl will defend this.
As someone who sucks at video games, I love Xiaoyu since Tekken 5, I love all her story and lore, her character designs, and I wanna cosplay her. But as I'm not a person who plays competitively with other players (I play fighting games for story mode/character episodes, sorry) so I can see why her moves can be frustrating to other players and the Xiaoyu discourse has been like that since TK7. When I played Tekken 8 for the first time I gravitated towards Asuka and Reina because omg their punches feel satisfying. I don't really care for beefhead combos or striving to be a pro, I'm here for a casual time and have my characters look cute doing it. 😅
Absolutely nothing wrong with being a casual with this game. I also really like Xiaoyu character design and I find very fun to play. I find Reina really cool to personality wise but the way she plays just doesn’t really fit me.
You've gotta delay the last hit of her heat wall combo to guarantee calli roll
So for the F2,1,1+2 , I have to delay 1+2?
@@ricksstarz Actually the correct input is F2,1,2 not 1+2(although 1+2 still works if you got used to it)
And yes whether you input 2 or 1+2 at the last hit if you delay it a little you guarantee a Cali roll.
You can also hold a directional button during the delay to recover in neutral which in that case 3+4 is guaranteed to hit. To further add to this you can also hold down after 3+4 to recover in AOP and further mix them up.

Nah i dont hate her. She is a technical character similar like Nina. The only thing what is dumb asf is her absurd hypnotist frames and this dumb wall combo that you end with the powercrush
I honestly agree with you. I think HYP mix in heat is way too good. Xiaoyu is extremely scary at the wall. 🙄

I still think Zafina is more annoying. Because at least you can still punish Xiaoyu when she is in her phoenix stance with some low mid attacks. Zafina? When she is at a certain low stance, she just can't be punished enough and just bounce off the combo. (Tekken 7 player here. I don't know if Zafina is still similar on tekken 8 or not)

I don't hate Xiaoyu... But I have plenty of respect for her... Since I did combo challenges with her But I don't know yet 🙁 I should try to train more with her if i can... But her moves can be tricky 🤔 and her backward attacks as well
Yeah it takes a lot of practice to get use to her stances and transition to and from it in the right moments. You have to have a really good sense of awareness playing this character at high level. I love to watch pro Xiaoyu players and take note on how they play her. Keep at it! ✊🏽

Xiaoyu is such a strong character, anyone who can’t handle her is just your skill issues!
It isn't always that simple like it is for most other matchups. Xiaoyu happens to be one of the few character ( Yoshimitsu, Zafina ) who's basic game-plans can dominate certain match-ups pretty one-sidedly. If you don't have any mid pokes that can consistently AoP, you're always fighting a losing battle since you're forced to hard commit to disadvantageous moves just to call out a potential AoP in her numerous flowcharts. Try playing Heihachi or Bryan against her, it's legitimately torture at all levels of play.

Thank you, most Ling players will defend her bcuz they are gooners or weirdos, who consistently downplay her mechanics in the game. Never acknowledging that she is genuinely a busted character who can steal every turn. Not all, but they are so toxic in game man. Every encounter with a Ling player they are just mashing and spamming. And then when u try to rematch to learn, they just fucking quit bruh. Without fail. Every time i encounter one, they always quit or disconnect when u figure out wat they do. It's fucking annoying.

I was looking up videos on her and Clive since I’m bored of Mortal Kombat. I’m a little afraid to get this now and play her. She was my main when I would visit my sister when I was a kid. I would play 5 with her. Her moves almost look the same as I remember them. I remember her turning backwards and doing the elbow jabs and kicking people in the air. Does Tekken not change its moves between games?
They pretty much keep the same moves every game with a few new changes and added moves to their arsenal.

correct me if im wrong but, is xiao harder than nina? she's a lot more rewarding too if you can read the opponent bc i really think nina is only scary in heat while a good xiao is just scary all around.. like she has so so so many cancels and so many possible setups and timings and quick safe frames... and she has great lows and evasion.
They both are on the more difficult scale to play. In my opinion, I think Xiaoyu is more difficult to play. This is mainly because she has three stances that you have to incorporate in your gameplay with her at the very right moments. With Nina, I think is more easier to “flowchart” with get wins where as with Xiaoyu, you have to have good awareness skills to play her effectively imo.

The 2 things i hate is her phoenix hit box but also when she jails you and does a grab which goes into a full combo. I feel there should be an option to turn that off for all characters as not all characters have that ability and its so cheap.
You really shouldn't talk to Ling Mains about cheap. The whole roster is full of characters with cheap moves. The only move I consider cheap with Ling is her armor kick. That's it. I actually almost never used the move til I hit the end of red rank. So I wouldn't become overly reliant on it.

I’m a Xiayou main NGL playing against Xiayous are easy
at least 15 characters are alot stronger than her, have alot more tools than her, and are easier to pilot and abuse, compared to her.

Now why would you ask a dumb question like that? Why would I take pride in someone plugging on me ESPECIALLY in a game like TEKKEN 8 where many characters got some BS in heat where you can just get steamrolled… lol. I literally be fighting for my life in ranked to get points to rank up and when someone plugs on you… you literally get nothing out of it… there is no true penalty, so it’s a lose-lose situation for me. Why would I find joy and pleasure in that…? 😅
Not to mention, many people never want to finish the FT2 set… If anything, I am always grateful and satisfied when I find someone who plays a full set.

She's one of the weakest characters in the game
As also other characters, it’s not about only Xiaoyu or only 3 or 5 characters that has broken tools, it’s almost whole roster, someone has more broken tools and someone less, so it’s more about the game itself, this game has so many broken stuff right now
