Very sturdy and well built, reminds me of a fighter jet helmet and what I really like about this helmet is that it does not have the unicorn effect when flipped up
@@MrKeanu1977 It's wonderful. Very high quality, fits well, and blocks out a lot of noise. This is my fourth Nolan helmet and I have been very satisfied with all of them. I had a Shoei helmet back in the 80's and was also satisfied. You can't go wrong with Nolan or Shoei.
I just bought the 100-5 plus with full intercom b901L very impressive this is the 2nd flipface I've bought in nolan I've owned many many makes of helmet and nolan is my preferred high quality price is unparalleled. Used with the Hayabusa even at 300kmh crystal clear n- com quality
@@lowspeed2000 to be honest I've been to lazy to read the instructions. You can find them online too. Probably knowing Nolan. Too busy at present to read them. I just need to receive calls
Make sure you get the right N-Com pack for this helmet The B5 kit has been updated with an adapter for the N100-5. The older B5 kit lists the N100-5 as compatible but require an extra adapter to fit the key pad not included in the kit.
i've been using this helmet almost daily for about two years (i'm a motorcycle courier) and the chinguard opening mechanism has failed so now i can't close the chin guard any more. it's a $500 open face helmet. :( worst part is that i don't know where to take it to get it fixed.
What an awesome, and beautiful helmet it is! I'm gonna buy the Nolan N100-5(in Red colour.^^). Thanks for your helpful tips and recommendations. Always!^^👍❤️🍀
The HJC weighs around 1470 grams whereas the Nolan N100-5 weighs around 1650 grams. We haven't tested the helmets on the road yet, so we're not sure which one will make less noise.
I tried one today but have problem with the chin strap, i could only close it 1-2 click and was just a little to tight, can the lenght be ajustet on it?
We've made also a video of the Neotec 2, which you can find here: th-cam.com/video/t1WsxS35w7M/w-d-xo.html . They are both modular helmets, but built with a different philosophy so it is quite hard to tell in a few words what the difference is between those helmets. Check out both the video's and you'll find out ;).
I got a set of Nolan 1994 with a scooter. They were old and dirty. I decided to give them a chance and clean the padding. Just lukewarm water and baby shampoo. The padding foam just melted in water like candy floss... Of course 14 years is a lot...but they were not ridden a lot...and were 100% destroyed.

Excellent review. I just ordered the N100-5 yesterday an am eagerly looking forward to my first ride with it.
How is it? Happy? I am between this and shoei neotec 2. I know they are very different but also in price…

great review for a great helmet, I've just bought it and I love it
what's the difference between all those Nolan n100-5? for example between the Nolan n100-5 plus and the Nolan n100-5 special?

Can really recommend the helmet, very comfortable for long rides
Nolan doesn't get the respect it deserves!! Same with Suomy!! :)
Well said. Because the average people look at what rider in motogp or wsb wears what brand.

I haven't found a red one. I settled for the white one.
great demo , thanks
Tell me it's weights.. lighter than NEOTEC 2?
Impecable management of the English language 👏🏻
Are the straps (micro lock) extendable? I'm asking for a friend... 😉 Who lives in the USA and has a normal chin.... 😂
Excellent video, thanks for share with us. Do you have any idea if is possíble to install cardo packtalk bold?
I have a Nolan Helmet. It is wonderful
Any comparison in terms of weight, noise, and quality to the HJC rhpa 90 pro? Thanks!!

@@FortaMoto Have you road tested yet?
Is the helmet itself a different size depending on the size needed or is it one size with a different size inserts?
The helmet has two outer shell sizes, but not one for every helmet size - this is actually very rare.
What Nolan brand coms system does this helmet take?
Was wondering about the same until I came across this.

Is this helmet dot approved in USA
ECE approval is far more stringent than DOT. An icecream bucket would just about get a DOT approval.
very good, execellently explained review, thank u
Thanks for your compliment :)!

Yes, the chin strap is adjustable - so it shouldn't be a problem.
What size do you recommend for a 58.5cm head?
Generally a size medium, also depending on the shape of your head.
Excellent review.....really informative.
Thanks dude!
do ls2 strobe in depth plz
Whats the weight
Around 1650 grams.

You mean our shop?
FortaMoto oh I mistyped..... I meant the song dude... What's that song..... It's in my head 😆😆😆😁😁...... By the way excellent reviews
Haha nice, thnx! I actually don't know the same of the song, let's call it the Fortamoto Song ;)
I just buy Nolan N100.5 color flat orange Led flip up Very low price!!

Can this pair with Sena Headsets?
If you choose the Nolan N-Com B901, then yes. It has a universal intercom function.
Nice review ! Anyone by chance has fit a cardo packtalk in this helmet ? Would it be possible ?
It is possible, however it is going to be quite difficult. N-com B901 is going to fit much more easily
