My voice was punished after being extra passionate during the OLLO matches which made the next day of commentating slightly difficult.😅
I think it's easy to overlook APK Blue after how brief and disappointing their appearance was at WCT5 USA, but they really brought it this competition and to keep things so close with Apex Sun, arguably the second best USA team, is impressive in its own right! Excited to see these guys return soon enough! Now to see if Apex Sun can make it to the finals knowing that the only team to beat them won't be their semi-final opponents for the third time in a row lol

@@totalunconcernI think it's because the sisters on the left look slower than the straight on the right to the evader, so it becomes an automatic choice. It's not the matter of changing the layout as much as tactics, training and quick thinking on the athletes part

One of my favorite matches and it’s just as good to be watching it back 🤩 such high skill level brought in from both teams. I’m proud of my boys in blue.
The value of having a quad of your own to practice on year-round is clearly showing. I hope these other parkour schools get successful enough to finance investing in a quad of their own, or that the sport gets big enough that the cost of making one/purchasing one drops.

our Colorado Quad is outdoors which means it’s unusable for a big chunk of the year 🥶

I think Logan dropping out early really hurt APK. He was probably their strongest player this tournament. Apex really brought it though, so who knows

Wasnt that Frank Mejía on APK Blue's side? How come we didn't see him get a run? Mejía is an absolute beast of a chaser, couldve made a difference I think.
That's what I'm saying! Maybe he was just a coach this year and had some reason he couldn't compete
At this comp Frank was recovering from a shoulder injury so he served as coach. You'll definitely see him back better than ever very soon 💪

Santos chase then evade i think is one of my favorite in WCT6 USA.
great match! This is a great showcase match to show how much closer the higher tier teams are (minus apex moon) in talent and strategy

Please move the scores to the top of the screen. It's already obscured several tags/near misses in other videos and only 18 seconds into this video blocks the shot of someone going into a pole face first in real time.
instead of forefeit there should have been a replacement, and hurted player shouldnt be allowed back in match
Only problem is that if you do this people will just fake injuries on important points of the match to get a fresh athlete in to secure the evasion.

So if a chaser gets injured and doesn't tag, it's an evasion, if he does, he gets assumed tagged in the next race. This is a choice sure, but both help the team that doesn't have an injured player. So getting an injury always punishes the player and team that gets injured. I'm happy that these players care about each other as much as they do because in other circumstances this would create incentive to promote injuries in the opposing teams. And apart from that it just doesn't seem very fair to me. Any injury is a double punishment to the player and team injured, and a lucky reward to the opposing team.
how do you possibly promote injuries in the other team ?
Yeah not sure how you intentionally injure your chaser haha
@@bearschneider9183 if you spend enough time on something you'll find ways, thankfully no team would do that. What's the most dangerous path for a chaser who doesn't have the same prep as an evader who knows the details of that dangerous path? It's a game of probabilities if someone would dedicate themselves to it. And still, my main point is that an injury, in wct, is a double punishment for the team suffering it.
This isn't the first time we've seen a chase skipped due to injury, though I think it is the first time at an official event. I know some of the French events on the WCT EMEA channel have had skipped chases.
It's always disappointing for atheletes and fans to see an injury alter a match, but the alternatives are that you let the injured player try and evade which is not safe or you allow replacement which gives the injured team the advantage of a fresh evader. In the case of the latter, that would definitely encourage fake injuries. This is the best option. Your responsibility as a player is to perform without getting injured.

I don't believe that there are any rules against. But helmets aren't perfect, and can make some things more difficult. If a helmet obstructed your vision at all, it could lead to more injuries, not less.
the rules about injuries in this league are trash. teams shouldn't be penalized for getting injured. let them sub in another evader.
Only problem with that is people would just fake injuries on important chases in the match to get a fresh athlete in to secure the evasion. This would completely change the dynamic of the sport
