I loved this show so much and it came on here in Virginia, at 3 pm Eastern standard time and by the time I got home from school it was almost over thank God for VCRs back then sometimes I would Play hooky and tell daddy that I was sick so I can stay home and watch the show before I got a VCR. I did not care for Days of our lives I loved Santa Barbara and young in the restless. Santa Barbara came on in July 1984 and then I started 11th grade at age 16 and I think it ran for six seasons. Because after high school graduation in 1986. I remember watching it !! My daddy always loved CNN and news shows on cable tv back then. He never watched soaps. But I got him hooked on this show and he would never admit to his friends that he loved Santa Barbara for some reason. Such beautiful memories I miss my father so much he has been in heaven for many years now. He was my rock I was not a mama’s boy I was a daddy‘s boy and let me tell you anybody out there if you are not close to your father if he should pass away You will regret everything so bad but luckily my daddy was my best friend. And on weekends I would much rather spend all my time with him, than my best teenage friends !! He had a heart attack in 1990 at age 45. And he was lifting weights at our local Fitness center. He went to take a shower before he came home and he went into cardiac arrest and he was a very strong healthy man. I think I felt numb for 5 years maybe. Absolutely no emotion. Then it hit me like the blow from a club and in college I had to come home because I was emotional crippled for 18 months. Such a beautiful memories of watching Santa Barbara with dad !!
I started watching in 1985 when in Junior High. Can remember running home to watch maybe the last 30 minutes or so at 3:30 PM and then High School was earlier so able to catch the entire show starting at 3:00 PM on NBC. Yes it was the best show on daytime for a few years, definitely from 1985 to 1988!
It’s so unfortunate that Elena left the show. I would’ve loved to have seen scenes with her and the Capwells with everyone knowing her true identity, as a Capwell. Especially Elena and Eden, Sherilyn and Marcy had amazing chemistry! I was really disappointed when Elena left, Sherilyn was an amazing actress too!
I don't know because Elena wanted to be Eden, she wanted everything Eden had growing up and she wanted her man Cruz who's to say if the truth came out that she would probably do the same thing to the both of them like Victoria and try to break them up.

Even though they did overcome all that Elena did do to them. I would’ve loved to see Elena be the black sheep of the Capwell family. There’s so much more they could’ve written. Although I did hear that Sherilyn wanted to leave the show when she did,,,,I’m not sure however how true that is. But going back to my point, that I still would’ve loved to see her on the show for much much longer than she was..... For some reason, soaps sometimes ax a character before they really take off. On Santa Barbara as another example, Ming-Li (Tamolyn Tomita) was another great antagonistic character that could’ve stayed way longer than she did.

Eden was a wimp !! And Elana ? She took charge and was way more intelligent than Eden as well !! She was way more manipulative and cunning than Eden ! If she wants something she goes for it ! Her character reminds me of myself ! But I’m far more beautiful than Eden or Elana ! No woman in the world 🌎 can compete with my looks and sexy body and perfect hair and face ! And I’m 5 foot 8 inches tall and 110 pounds with legs up to my waist !! And the most natural perfect firm tits of any other female alive ! And my eyes ? I was born with double eyelids ! And they are huge and naturally Royal blue !!
