This year we identify remaining weak spots, sign the vets we have with 1-year contracts that earned a better contract in 2025, and fix the weaknesses identified. We are not ready to be in the playoffs this year, even with a vet T and CB, that would be injury prone/sloppy seconds. Ertz is here as a vet presence to help the youngsters learn the game.
Play him in preseason. Chemistry and connection with the offense in real game situations is better than training camp. You learn in training camp, you apply in preseason games then adjust.
