Samurai's are awesome.. One of the most underrated off road vehicles of all time.. I had one in high school in the 1990's and was laughed at all the time... I out climbed plenty of full size pick ups with v-8's... Now I see people are starting to see the true potential behind these mighty little guys!..
As I saw the question many times, the top or chassis version is called high roof or in German hochdach. Its damn nice if you're offroad (no head bumping amymore), but also makes the trunk or boot a lot bigger. Mine got the same. Its a japan build 88 sj413
Yeah, it might increase drag a bit, but at that slow of speed and in low range, it's likey is as much of a traction aid as it is a burden on the vehicle. Pretty amazing rigs, those Sami's
+Lauri Lumme You're welcome! Seeing this reminded me that even a fairly stock Samurai is an extremely capable off-road vehicle. Interestingly, so were the Ford model T's back 100 years ago. Look upo some of their vids here on youTube. The did CRAZY stuff with those and they were only TWO WHEEL DRIVE. Off-roading has been popular A LONG TIME :-)
After our visit to pic just some firewood to warm our houses city came and took all the rest... Nowadays there are housing on that area ;) By the way when you are driving whit small vehicle like this on frosty forest it barely leaves any marks to ground just some tracks on snow... and you know next summer its all gone. Thanks for the commet though!
In extreme negative temperatures with snow around you, I suppose you would say "no" to a fire because you were worried about trees? Didn't think so. All he did was drive through some snow with some wood on a trailer. Chill out.
Warming your house is legitimate. Destroying young trees like you do on 1:41 and 1:52 is NOT !!! Next time be more respectful to the forest otherwise your kids will not be able to warm their houses like you do today !

Samuraii Are The BEST>!!!!
Haha! I had to laugh when the trailer came into the picture, did not expect that ;)
Great video, thanks!
Nothing can stop Japanese cars.
Well, a 120 mm HEAT round will stop a Japanese car, or any car for that matter.
mini logging truck!!!!! so cool!
I didn't know these things could tow like that!

Lucky bastards. I've used land rover defenders on and off road and I would rather have a 4000$ samurai any day
I use my Samurai for hauling wood too!
Admirable
Simplemente es una bestia de montaña
theses trucks were awesome so were the trackers
The little samurai that could
Interestingly, the trailer of wood probably gave a traction advantage, putting tongue weight on the rear tires.
Good thing too since it's increasing drag
I love the rounded top of your zuk. where did you get that?
Very impressive
mini monster truck, suzuki sj are the best
Nice flex on that trailer

impressive.
Yes, Suzi R U L E Z ! !
really good trailer - perfect chassis for offroading! made by yourself??
my mom used this car for almost 20 years exploring borneo island. she is retired now.
To Wy możecie ze swojego lasu wywozić drewno? W Polsce trzeba pozwolenie a za nim je wydadzą to się zima kończy :-) .Fajna przyczepka.Pozdrawiam.
Same in Bulgaria...they issue the permit in late september and until you gatther the firewood winter is over ...stupid laws
That roof you have on the truck. Is that an after market feature or is it only specific to the European market?
i wanna know too......(ten years later jeje)
Skills...
Gerard Mollema awesome
is this with the 1300 cc engine?
+hashu05 1324 cc G13A I4
Good trailer.
Just normal terrain for Samurai.
done correctly cutting down some trees is healthy for a forest.
How are they so strong when they have a 1.6 engine ?
Alexandre Gauvreau
1.0 and 1.3 actually
Still have the stock clutch?
doesnt this car have a diff lock?
whats that top?
The mighty Zuke;I have one.
Without Snowchains? Very courageous.

Why do you think snow chains whould make differents? its not hard/packd snow?
//Swede

さすが、ジムニー(samurai)
ヘビーデューティー男のJIMNY・・・かこいいぜ!!
it's not a extreme offroad...,it's a slow offroad...
need a trailer with an electric motor, and everything will be fine
No !
poor clutch...
This does not qualify for "extreme"
Lmao, hummers are garbage.....way too heavy
