- The plastics on the 2022 UForce 1000XL are starting to loose their luster. Can this SC1 High Gloss Coating really make the UForce “Battle Bus” look brand new again? Let’s find out!
Hey Tony, have another idea for you that you may be interested in. I got this from some other TH-camrs and it does seem to work well for severely faded plastics. It’s a mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. Rub it on and let it sit for 20 or 30 minutes, then just buff it off. Works on colored and also black plastic parts, same as you restored on your U Force. General consensus on the mix seems to be about 1/3 boiled linseed oil to 2/3 paint thinner. Another guy says 40% linseed to 60% thinner. Anywhere in that range would probably be just fine. I have tried this and it does work and doesn’t appear to damage the plastics. Your SC1 seems to work pretty well but I thought I’d share this method with you, it’s good to have knowledge and options! I dig your enthusiasm on your Battle Bus Build, ride safe my friend!
Thanks for the info, I will check this out. Thanks for watching!
I used that on an old Suzuki Z400 and it does work good bit sc1 is easier.
Did you hand wipe your suspension as well etc.?
Like damn I need to clean mine like yours haha
I pretty much sprayed it on the suspension and let without wiping it down. I did however buff my shock springs. Thanks buddy lol!
Hi my name is leroy i seen video guy spray it on his sidebyside he went through mudhole mud doesn,t not stick to it
It does make it three times as easy to spray mud off your machine.
bahahahaha Are you comedian Anthony Jeselnik?
sc-1 is total crap. I used a can on my bike and it did NOTHING. I have a 2023 GSX-S1000 GT and it is in mint condition. I keep it washed and waxed with Ceramic wax. a friend told me about SC-1. so I tried it.. $20 for a 17 oz. can on Amazon. waste of $20.
