    Excellent video dude. I am so all about cutting the top first, it always seems such a decisive subject in Barbering. I made a video a while back about why I think it's important to cut the top first and it really opened up some interesting conversations from people with differing points of view. I always say, if someone wants a 4 on top and a fade on the sides, you would start with the 4 on top first and fade into it, you wouldn't do the 4 on top last. So, the same should work when you are cutting the top with scissors. Cheers buddy

      In my opinion , if you are cutting with scissors usually the hair is wet , and i dont like fading on a wet hair , so if a client asks for 4 on top , yes ill start with that , but if its wet scissor cut i dont wanna waste time drying the head so i can fade , i rather fade and finish with scissors so the machine wont touch the water.

      @@afikba9866 Hello, I see what you are saying and agree that you wouldn't want to fade on wet hair. However, I try not to wet the sides too much, I mainly only dampen down the top enough to cut and I usually find that a quick blast with the dryer is enough to prep the sides for fading. I think as I have been working this way for some time I don't find it such a time constraint and actually feel its a faster way of working but I can definitely see how I can be perceived as a more time consuming method. Cheers

      Thank you so much bro and I have to agree with you on cutting the top first. When I’m cutting at the shop I always cut the top first and then I fade the sides, for me is easier and faster to set the shape and then fade from there. However, when I do videos I change it up and I find myself working harder than I have to while trying to connect the top into the fade. I know must people cut the sides first so I try to cater to them.

      @@DavidFalla Definitely buddy, at the end of the day its all preference and as long as the customer is happy with the result, whether the top or sides are cut first, is all that matters. I agree with working harder to connect the sides to the fade, we offer a service in the shop where we just freshen up the sides and back in between haircuts, I always find this creates more work when you are trying to blend what you have just cut to the top. Cheers dude

    I am a barber from Iraq and I have a barber shop
    But unfortunately I am always ashamed of the customers who are reluctant to get rid of bad machines that I do because the quality of the macaroni is very hot
    The Wahl machine, which is used by Iraqi traders, is of a Chinese type, meaning a failed one
    I hope you will send me an original machine and I am grateful for your presence and considered it a gift for your followers in the channel
    Greetings to you, creative

    Good morning David. Do you prefer the 00000 or outliner blade? And which blades do you need to do all the necessary fades as a barber?

    • @DavidFalla
      @DavidFalla  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good evening lol so I use the Andis Outliner blade yo bald out my fades, and the blades you need will vary from barber to barber. I have a lot of detachable blades but I dot use them all. It hard for me to tell you since I don’t know what you will need or not. I hope that helps

    • @DavidFalla
      @DavidFalla  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Perception is everything. Barbers charge $20 for a men’s haircut while Hairstylist charge $75 for the same haircut. How many doctors, lawyers, CEO or people in higher positions do you see with boxed out foreheads? The people who pay top dollar for a haircut don’t always get a line up or nor do they want a barber that just do whatever without their permission. I might not be a top barber but I have a 93% retention rate while charging 2-3 times more for my services than other barbers. How I said at the beginning, perception is everything.
