Bro. Adis are not Buddhist. They practise Donyi Polo religion. Some are converted to Christianity. Aruachali are not related to Tibetans busshist except for Monpa,Memba & some 1 or 2 tribes. Donyi Polo is animist religion & it the indigenous religion of Arunachal/Tani tribes since time immemorial. Donyi Polo is the main religion of Arunachal i.e. for Tani Tribes. In Tani who is considered ancestor of major tribe such Adi,Nyishi,Galo & Apatani of Arunachal. Tani is the largest ethnic group of Arunachal & Adi tribe which comes under the umbrella of Tani tribe is among the Top 3 largest tribe of Arunachal. So, i think you are confusing. All Tani tribes of Arunachal migrated from Tibet region but not from mainland tibet where the administration or tibetan buddhism was not reachable. So, Tani tribes migrated from so called tibet but that is far from Lhasa or other tibetan settlements. You will often get wrong or not full information because of communication or explanation problems from the village elders.
Donyi-Polo is an indigenous religion practiced by the Tani and other Sino-Tibetan peoples of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam in Northeast India. The name "Donyi-Polo" means "Sun-Moon". The religion is animistic and shamanic in nature, and is characterized by the following beliefs and practices: Eco-spirituality Donyi-Polo believers believe that everything in the world is related to God and man, and that they should live in harmony with nature. They believe in preserving other living things and taking care of them. Belief in spirits Donyi-Polo believers believe in benevolent and malevolent spirits, and that every object has its own spirit. Belief in an unseen world Donyi-Polo believers believe in an unseen world where gods and people live together as a family. Belief in Sedi 3 Donyi-Polo believers believe that Sedi 3, a supernatural power, created all beings in the universe. The Donyi-Polo religion was revitalized in the 1970s in response to the spread of Christianity. Talom Rukbo was a pioneer of the revival. The religion has since developed a congregational system, hymns, a formalized philosophy, and an iconography of gods and temples
