ik smosh got its roots in sketch comedy and thats a big part of it but these improvy things where they have to justify the wacky shit getting exposed is such a good concept and always so funny
They definitely evolved their content in the best way possible. I'm all for Smosh improv over their scripted sketches.
Totally. They've got a great group of improv artists. Though I'd love to see Angela in some scripted stuff. She's a stage actor first, so she may be even stronger in sketches.
I prefer this blended improv concept to sketches, 100%.
I love how they evolved. As more internet comedy got scripted, they slowly shifted into the improv realm and the authenticity is really refreshing. I feel like the start of their Try Not to Laugh stuff really opened a new door and they realized how much potential the raw, unexpected humor had and I'm so glad they ran with it cuz I think it's just that much funnier when even the cast doesn't know what'll happen next

What I have loved about the videos recently is that the cast feels more comfortable to make lower effort, silly jokes just meant to get a laugh out of each other in between the larger bits and jokes that they are clearly making for the video.
