@@PocketMads some games (like destiny, rainbow six, rocket league, etc.) have 3rd party trackers for elo, win rate, global rankings, etc. Does something like that exist? Is the api even accessible?
The meta is really cool right now. All the decks have good and bad matchups so nothing is really dominating. It's really nice to have that level of diversity.
The difference between countering gyarados with fighting and zebstrika vs countering mewtwo with scoliopede is that lightning and fighting actually have good decks. Dark is pretty much complete garbage unless you're going against weakness imo.
Although meta decks are best for winning and missions events. I personally like to run Articuno and Greninja deck just for fun factors. Sometimes Hypno and Persian just to troll.
Really helpful video, keep these ones up! These are more helpful than tierlists for me. I do have a question; what are the pros vs cons if running farfetchd vs mankey/primeape in the aggro decks? It seems to me like farfetchd is the no brainer choice, takes up 2 less spots and primeape seems only better if u go first and also happen to draw both ur mankey and primeape. Interesting stuff bro great work
Thanks! I think farfetched is very good almost all the time. Decks that run primeape are just short for space since they will also be running hitmonlee and marshadow so I think its just a matter of preference. Primeape is also great I think there's just only so much space in the deck :D
Playtested the Aero/Primeape and Aero/FF deck list extensively. I found our worst MU by far was Exeggutor Ex and any other potion stacking decks. The Aero/FF deck scored more consistently across the board and helps slightly with Mewtwo but was also worse against the Pika/Zeb deck since Zapdos is actually hard to deal with. Good video. Aerodactyl/Exeggutor/Mewtwo are shaping up to be the best 3 decks with Gyarados and Pika faltering which is what Ive expected.
Hope you found this video useful!!! - Did anything surprise you in this video? Like and Sub!!! (:
Im surprised why more decks arent running a copy of mew since counters mewtwo so hard.
Super useful.
I love this kind of strategic analysis of Pokémon, I wish there was some kind of a competitive or a ranking system.
@@willemsamuel4068 the OCG has points/rankings but we have yet to see a real ranked ladder for Pocket (:

@ not that I know of! Likely coming down the line in the future.

Every deck has its counter!! It’s makes choosing your deck so important (:
Pika-Zeb is stupidly easy to pilot and very consistent. Raichu variants might be stronger, but you can't make any mistakes on your energy placement.
@@jatwood9648 pikachu/Raichu is one of the most complex decks in the game tbh 😅
@PocketMads Well yeah, Pika-Raichu has a lot going on. It's tough to pilot correctly. Pika-Zeb is basically fill the bench and place energy.
Great video!
It's great to see data on matchup spreads (especially for us data nerds lol)
Keep up the great work 👍
I’m glad it was helpful!!!

Farfetch'd doesn't hit anything for weakness and is more easily KO'd by Lightning decks. But it's personal preference and I have used both to success.
I'm all for these videos!

I agree completely!! Exeggutor is massively underrated right now with the rise of the fighting decks (:
Commenting for the algorithm
Props
I played celibi serperior ans ran into all gyarados
Pikachu Ex W/Zebstrika has been great for me. Like playing the deck more than Mewtwo Ex personally.
It’s got really strong matchups in this meta. Almost a counter pick - which is really fun!
Can’t wait for new cards to come out so we can have a range of decks to play because I get bored using the same old decks
That’s the most fun part for me too - theory crafting and building cool new decks (: 200+ new cards will be coming at the end of January though!!!
I am using pika zapdos my luck with coin flipping on thundering hurricane is so good it can 1 shot mewtwo
Is charizard the top fire deck? I thought it was arcanine mew (also keep this series going for the next expansion)
It depends! I thin arcanine is more consistent but Charizard has more upside. Both have their strengths but neither seem to be S tier decks currently.
Maddy the Baddie 😎
