My Western Star would not cool when I was waiting to load. I found out there was no air going through the grill sitting still. Put the fan on manual and that cured the AC problem.
Filter change 2017 but that truck does not get many miles r hours. Not many water boys can double task, adding Freon, checking crops, better keep him on. No telling what other talents he might have!!!!! Lol. Enjoyed!!!

Mr. Doug that is called a AC schrader valve wrench. They make it in a ratchet to. It mlm is for opening up your valve on your AC unit to add freon to system.

Make a homemade horsefly repellent by mixing a pint of white vinegar with 2 ounces baby oil and a squirt of dish soap in a spray bottle. Apply to skin or clothing when outdoors near areas of horsefly activity. Horseflies are aggressive because they're hungry! Or, more accurately, their babies are hungry. Only the female horsefly bites, and she does so to obtain protein from blood to form and grow her eggs. Horseflies are pretty large, so they need a lot more blood than mosquitoes, which use blood for the same reason.

Dougo used the phrase "Brass Monkey" It's actually has a true meaning. It is often stated that the phrase originated from the use of a brass tray, called a "monkey", to hold cannonballs on warships in the 16th to 18th centuries. Supposedly, in very cold temperatures the "monkey" would contract, causing the balls to fall off. Hence the phrase "Freeze the balls of a Brass Monkey." Did that make your day. 😉😉😉😉

The 379 a/c does not work very good at idle. Put the fan on manual and bump the idle to about 900. If the system is good you can 40 degree air out of the ducts! The T600 has probably got the small condenser for the old R12 system. If you need to replace it, one for the R134. It will be considerably larger. That will maximize the a/c output.

Buy a yellow jacket refrigeration ratchet probably 1/4 inch for a/c service valve

Cool your your heels. Try 100 degrees + 10 degrees heat index. That is what the temp in Texas.
It's a lil ratchet wrench that opens the AC valve, has like a quarter inch square on one end works great
