I’m absolutely starting Twitter beef for Heim
Me too, dawg. No respect for my man. 😊
Absolutely
Nah Fr
😂😂😂
Awesome to see Cal Raleigh talk at the beginning.
As a Mariners fan I would put Heim in twitter beef.
Heim is a dominant defensive catcher being known rn as one of the best framers in the game and he also led the position in RBI’s
Top 4 in MLB in all aspects.
RBI are more of a team statistic than individual
@@jacksonholloway5535 shows he can get hits when it matters
@jacksonholloway5535 not strictly. Still an individual stat as well... and an important one.
LMAO, you just cited cited a pretty good statistic, and then immediately brought up one of the worst stats of all time.
Cal and Garver with that M’s pitching is absolutely nasty
One thing that's underrated about the Angels' young players that no one seems to be talking about is their leadership qualities. O'Hoppe and Neto are natural leaders in the clubhouse, something that I feel has been missing for some time now. There's a lot that needs to be fixed before we'll be a good team, but having those young guys as clubhouse leaders is awesome to see and makes me hopeful as a fan.
Jake: S-Tier
BBD: Set It and Forget It
Jolly: Let's Find the Ceiling
I will go to war for Cal Raleigh
Bigggg dumperrrrr
He’s nice, but .308 OBP? Woof.
What’s with the Jonah Heim hate! Definitely should be higher ranked higher… 4th or 5th best catcher in all of baseball IMO. AL Allstar, Gold Glove, world champ… does everything well offensively and defensively… one of the most well rounded catchers on the list
Have no idea. There is hatred for the Rangers in general.
I had to check these comments before I watched the video. I assumed right. Everyone is saying no respect for Jonah... so I'm not going to watch the video. It will just make me mad. It's hard to take these guys seriously when they ignore greatness routinely. That and they still can't pronounce Adolis after the 23 world series? Right... and you're a baseball fan?
@@chriskucholtz6967 I don't think its hatred lol, but I think it's just maybe a lack of acknowledging how much respect they deserve for what they've done.
Alot of the times when people call into question the amount notoriety, or rather lack of that they recieve, people say in response "yea they should've won, they were in first all years till the end and we talked about em'." which kinda ignores a lot of the trials and tribulations they went through with injuries during the season (imaging losing your 5 year, 100+ ace 6 games to their pitching in lol), and the issues with the bullpen at the end, and that even though the rangers were 1st all year, the Astros were favored to win throughout the season which they did to give them credit 'cause the rangers went into their first slump of the year at the end, but fuck bro, the 'stros are still favored to win the division even though the rangers just won the whole thing lmfao.
Jonah Heim is in my opinion a top 5 catcher in the game right now considering Heim is 5th in throwing out runners, 3rd in framing, and has a little less than equal to stats batting wise to Rutschman's, but Rutschman with his 4.3 WAR in 2023 compared to Heim's 2.9 beats him there. It's just a mixture of people who think they give the rangers their credit, but have to do so in a backhanded way that feels as if anyones who tries to question it may be seen a spoiled hater lol.
This being said, I mostly agree with their tier list lol, but not giving heim his flowers is the norm for most rangers. Adolis García had one of the greatest post-season performances of all time, but people still are hesitant to give him his due praise in some areas. (I mean hell, even the rangers are fighting for money arbitration with him rn lol).
@Hemmle yes, well said. And I'm joking when I say hatred. Lol
I'm sure there is no hate. But, Good grief... you're telling me you can't pronounce Adolis... still? I think that's intentional. But I hope Adolis doesn't get his feelings hurt in his arbitration hearing. It's normalfor clubs to do this. Though, I do think he's been a little underpaid for the past 3 years... pay that man. He puts butts in seats. He has the whole dugout dancing... and that smile... it's invaluable.
How is rating a guy as a top7/8 catcher in the MLB "hate" 🤣
@@jacksonholloway5535 because he is top 4 or 5. Simple. Lol
I love the comments about Cal Raleigh. I think he makes the all star team this year behind Adley. I agree he is not quite S Tier, but if he plays like he did in the second half of 2023 to start 2024, he’s definitely making the all star team. He hit 19 home runs in the second half of 2023 and I truly believe he could get to 35-40 home runs if he stays healthy
Thanks for this guys
Your whole media team has really helped me learn more about baseball this past year
Wholesome ass comment
As a Mariners fan, I’m going to war over Cal Raleigh not being in S tier tier
About the Mariners and the Polanco trade, the front office has pretty much said they’re done. Or at least they don’t feel the need to do anything more. They also were ADAMANT about keeping their starting pitchers, so don’t expect any of them to be traded.
Oh and real ones know that Darren Bowen was the biggest piece in the return package
Danny Jansen is loved in Toronto. We're hoping to get a full season out of him without injuries. He was injury plagued last year and still put up insane numbers.
Kirk's the best.
Patrick Bailey had 2.8 fWAR last year, more than Willson Contreras. Tyler Stephenson had -0.7, less than Tomas Nido.
They don't watch West Coast baseball lol
Shoulda had a “ARE these MFers Real?” for the lower end and a “Are these MFers REAL?” For the higher end
These are more fun than I thought to watch. Thanks guys!
As a Tigers fan, if Jake Rogers can give us average Defense and 15 homers until Dillon Dingler becomes the everyday catcher is all we can ask for.
Side note, the Tigers might make some real noise in the Central next year with the Twins getting a little worse and the Guards and Sox not improving at all
As a Dodger fan, Austin Barnes Give us one thing. Since he’s our back up for Smith
Will Smith rebirth 2024 and Logan O Hoppe breakout 📈
Jonah Heim should be in the S-tier conversation, once he was on the IL the Rangers faltered
Also REALLY good defensively
I’m putting him in the twitter fight tier, but yeah he’s underrated by these guys
I think the issue with Heim is he’s only in his 2nd full season and he’s only been an above average bat once.
He is very clearly at least a tier below Adley, Murphy, Contreras and Smith
Also don’t know how he could be S tier given that he’s not better than Cal Raleigh
Patrick “best defender in baseball” Bailey
I can't wait for a season where my boy Danny Jansen doesn't break a bone in his hand and ends up hitting 40 home runs
As my wise Canadian mutual says on Twitter: "And here's another hit, Danny Bonds"
😅
Kirk's better.
I think Henry Davis fits in Is that MFer Real? for this year with Endy Rodriguez being out this upcoming season. Should see a bit more time behind the plate than last year
We need a waiting on Kyle Teel category for Boston
Someone hasn’t looked at yan Gomes’ stats recently and it shows
For real. Gomes is kind of a boring catcher but he calls a good game and produces enough offensively to not be a liability. I like him
God damn im early
Nothing a wake n bake while watching some wake n jake to start off the morning
Jake is a man of culture for knowing that tiffany gomas name good ig follow 🤣🤣
Great video, but why aren’t you ranking the players within the tiers???
I think the tier that Willson Contreras is in is fair but definitely needed to bump him ahead of Salvy tho
I start SO MANY twitter fights for Jonah Heim. Needs to be up one tier
I'm with you. No respect.
It makes no sense.
Cal took us to the playoffs two years ago. Hey now , hey now , hey now ! He's pnw royalty for life. Sea us rise !
Let's not forget , he's calling pitches for arguably best pitching staff in baseball. Plus ......DAT ASSSSS!
I’m taking Heim over Raleigh all day! I’d rather have Heim then JT also!
Heim over Raleigh is delusional XD
@@jacksonholloway5535every single one of heims stats is better than Raleigh’s
Thank you for the love for Luis Campusano.. he is a stud and a half. Padres fans are so excited for him. And he is a Hot Boy for sure!
Splits for Y. Diaz, better hitter when he was catching games last year
lol at jolly saying "People might be starting to think the snakes won the moreno trade". Im a Jays fan and we got absolutely fleeced lol. we probably lose the trade if it was moreno for varsho 1 for 1. but lets not forget they also got gurriel than went on to make the world series while toronto got swept by the twins. not even close imo 😄
Bailey got fatigued catching nearly every day/back to back for the first time in his career. His offense slumped, as most rookies do, but he finished 2nd in the gold glove after 90 ish games in the MLB. But....this knowledge would require you watch a west coast team not named the Dodger 😮💨
you’re not helping his case at all. and none of them are dodgers fans or watch any dodgers games. you’d know that if you watched any of their videos 😮💨
@@ayydubs987 the only west coast team they talk about is LA, you'd know that if you watched any of their videos lmao. Not knowing Bailey had more fWAR in half a season than realmuto, Alvarez, Wilson contrares, naylor, Diaz etc is crazy. Dude finished 2nd in the gold glove for a reason
Us Cubs fans will go to war for Yan GOATmes
True Jays fans know that Jano is the better bet and that we should have sold high on Kirky and kept Moreno in the DBacks trade.
Co-sign!
29:58 why is it Vazquez and not Jeffers? Jeffers is the starting catcher. You even mentioned the twins “shopping Vazquez”. 🤨🤨🤨
Francisco Alvarez’s offensive stats are scarily similar to Volpe. Crazy to hear Jolly say he loves him and to see how us Yanks fans feel skeptical of Volpe. I think the kid is really gonna bang this year (in Boone voice)
I'm sorry but you rank Christian Vazquez instead of Ryan Jeffers who was a top 5 catcher in the AL last year?
I put Heim right below S tier. Maybe in S tier, but I thought he was probably 24 so I'm Mayne not the guy to complain.
Jonah Heim is literally Twitter Beef with Raleigh. he is so good for the Rangers and is such a guy. he at the very least is the bottom end of Twitter Beef
I need to see a 1B Tier list. That would be fun.
Pat Bailey was injured a lot near the end of the season.
Gabby is going to be in S-tier after this year. He's already top 3 defense and his offense is going to greatly improve this year
I’m starting beef for Cal. 30 nukes is awesome, but why aren’t we talking about the fact he catches and calls for some of the nastiest pitchers in the league? They’re all nasty, and he makes them look even nastier with his calls, framing and consistency. 145 games? And how are we glancing over the switch hitter aspect and, perhaps more importantly, the clutch factor? You know how many times we had the rally shoe on for Raleigh? Bout to start calling it the Raleigh Shoe. Anyways, with all that said, I think it’s fair to add a tier above S tier just for Cal. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
William should definitely be in S tier.
The Yan Gomes disrespect! We do not need or want Gary while Yan is still in town >:(
We love ya jake and jolly
Bo Naylor 1) had better WAR starting at C than Yainer, and 2) led ALL MLB catchers in WAR per plate appearance (min 200PA). At 4.7 WAR per 500 PA, he was far ahead of second place William Contreras (4.4/500) and significantly more productive than Adley (3.7/500). Bo is about to have a massive year if he stays healthy. He has exceptional pitch selection and his ability to draw a walk will lead to an OBP around .360-.380 and an OPS over .830
The Jonah Heim slander!
Hiem was dominant defensively golden glove all star starter and won the world series I'm fighting day and night for hiem
Bailey under alvarez is criminal to me. Bailey was the better last year and if he finds his bat, I am starting legitimate beef over him
Love Cal Raleigh and where you ranked him. He’s fantastic and I’m a huge M’s fan.
Jolly being absolutely FRIED in this episode is a real JM classic. I spent the entire video trying to figure out whether or not his eyes were open.
You guys forgot about Ryan Jeffers, who just had a huge year for the Twins.
shea was the centerpiece (with pache) of the olson deal, not the murphy deap
I'm really excited to see more of Gabbi Moreno this season
Yea. Jonah is a top 4 catcher. Y'all wild.
That's so funny. I just watched the video where joez destroyed their spirits for 30 minutes. I think it was the mlb top 30 of active K leaders
Do SS next!
Langeliers was in the Olson trade, not Murphy. That's 4 catchers on this list the Braves have had the last 3 years lol.
They got another catcher coming up they really like Drake Baldwin. He's in that William Contreras category where they like his bat but defense is questionable right now.
@@JK-tw3ne yea he's raked in the minors so far. He should be at ST and in AAA this year so we should get more insight on him soon. I wouldn't be surprised if he got called up later this year if they needed another catcher or DH.
Willson kinda doesn’t have a tier right now because he’s definitely not Twitter beef but he’s also not a set it and forget it. He might only play 80ish games at catcher this year and is gonna have a TON of DH days because Ivan Herrera is gonna get a lot of run.
Bo Naylor put up 2.4 fWar in 67 games, 2nd among the young guys to only Alvarez, who had 0.3 more in 56 more games. In fWar/162 he blows them all out of the water. I understand why he is where he is on the list, but his ceiling is nuts.
Pat Bailey had 2.9 Fwar soooo
@@MrGrammarPoliceyeah, but all on defense. Bailey doesn’t belong in this conversation until he can hit. He also played in 30 more games, so I’m pretty sure Bo still takes that cake. You extrapolate Bo to the same 97 games and he’s at 3.9 fWAR
Wong was appropriately placed. Might’ve been a bit too kind actually.
Definitely want to see what sophomore Yanier Diaz has to offer, is he real. To note, he was offensively much better when behind the dish, and also really needs to work on plate discipline
U say this because of playoffs...
Willson and Salvy in the same tier is kinda wild
Love Jake for zinging the blue jays fans
I mean me personally, I'd bump Wilson Contreras up (yes I am a Cardinals fan,) but in the beginning of the year I was like, "this mf can't block or frame fs" then as the season continued he adjusted to his new team. First season ever with a different team (yes I know same division,) but Cubs and Cardinals are still a rivalry, so I think he was bad at the beginning. Getting the new team jitters out, but slowly picked it up to his elite level again. He was like the best hitter right after the All Star break for like 3-4 weeks he just popped off. So yea, I think he should be up higher, but overall love the list.
Listen at two times the speed and Jake sounds like Ben Shapiro😂
😂
CF tiers next!
You'll remember this: Alejandro Kirk #1! He has 3hr all ready. 😂 I'm buying Kirk if you guys are selling😂
Love the bo naylor recognition
Gomes was a beast last year
I am 10000% starting twitter and ig beef for Cal Raleigh. That’s my ride or die
Nah I actually agree as a Phillies fan about JT. If you watched the team consistently, you saw that he took a step back offensively and even a small step defensively
Why am I even starting this? Adley Rustchman no question.
No Ryan Jeffers?
Apparently you're looking for beef with Braves fans. Travis would start on 20 other teams.
From a hitting standpoint Yainer Diaz is gonna be a top tier catcher this season
Jonah played half the year with an injury that required surgery to heal without having surgery. And by commenting I am proving him to be in twitter beef category. Lmao
Jolly’s self consciousness about the camera is distracting
What is this? A tier list for ants??? 🐜
Interested to see how the Will Smith takes pan out in a few years.
meaning…?
Are you guys in the same room?
Contreras and Salvy on the same tier??
I’m a Mariners fan mad that Cal isn’t in S tier, but I guess that proves he belongs in twitter fight tier
the bottom tier for SS should’ve been “DOWN GOES anderSSon DOWN GOES anderSSon” 😂😂
Half a season for Yainer....23 homers. Astros record. Correa 22.
How do you say a guy (Gabby Moreno) that just Won a Gold Glove, isn't for Real? Gabby is an absolute Stud and will be the best Catcher in the Majors along with Adley Rutschman for Years to come!
Nats fan here, I really think Kiebert is is that MFer for real. I'm not ready to give up on him/trade for Gary Sanchez at all, he's still young and has potential, but his hitting numbers are kinda in a bad limbo. This year could be make or break for him, and could be the difference if we think he's legit or a bust. We traded Max and Trea for him after all, there's a lot riding on seeing if he'll pan out.
jolly got a lil sauce lately
They probably would have put him in give me one thing but Austin Barnes
I wanted Austin Barnes on this list
No way you put cal Raleigh above Jonah Heim
Fransisco Alvarez is my catcher and I will start a fight on any platform for him and he will prove himself this season!!!!
Blue Jays fans do not like Cal Raleigh, how do you get him out?
