Greetings from TEXAS❤❤❤ This series is truly captivating and thought-provoking. Thanks a lot for delivering such enriching content that broadens our perspective on the past. Waiting eagerly for the coming episodes -
if ur a visual thinker, then this series is nothing less than an epic period drama documentary that u can listen to and picture simaltaneously with a cup of coffee. great episode sir!! absolutely loved it!
People never understand how important it is to learn the history of another country in a very intricate manner, you’ll be shocked to know how much the CIA has invested their time in learning Indian history and our society for their intelligence apparatus (read their declassified documents). I was always curious about the colonisation of the Americas, I knew it was very dark and racist and when it comes to accuracy this series hits the nail on the head by revealing the truth of what really happened. everything from compiling the information, the exact timeline and pronouncing and remembering the names of the spaniards was absolutely spectacular! I eagerly look forward for more this! Thank You sir! 🙏🙏
Just 2 episodes and I've got so much to learn. Sir, your influence and your positive impact act is more than you probably think. Thank you for all this.
I'm grateful for this series! When I first arrived in America from India, the differences didn't seem stark. However, after completing my graduation this December, I've come to sense a unique spirit that defines this nation. I'm eager to learn more about this country from an unbiased perspective, free from both Eastern and Western prejudices. That's why I'm particularly excited about this series. I'm currently based in Atlanta, Georgia!
This was promised last friday and from last friday I was daily searching for Abhijit ji's channel whether he as uploaded the video or not. Man seeing this I'm so happy. Thanks a ton.
What an absolutely fantastic episode in the Understanding America series! The deep dive into the three major expeditions that ultimately led to the discovery of the American states as we know them today was nothing short of enlightening. The way the episode unraveled the events, connecting history with the present, was both captivating and educational. It’s incredible how much detail and context were provided-I never knew half of these fascinating facts, and now I’m left craving more to truly understand how it all began. Wow, just wow. This series keeps getting better, and I cannot wait for the next episode to uncover what happened next in this remarkable journey. Thank you for making history this engaging and accessible Abhijit sir!
Well, that was an eye-opener. 👀 Who knew the Spanish Reconquista was the spark for all that chaos? Narváez, Coronado, and De Soto? Total messes. 😅 Cabeza de Vaca’s story though? Didn’t see that twist coming. 🧠 I’ll admit, the whole 'gold rush' idea was more fiction than fact, but hey, greed never does disappoint. 😂 Definitely looking forward to the next one. Keep it coming. 🌍🔥
Very interesting and knowledgeable podcast, not a lot of this kind out there. It's like opening a pandora's box of human historiography. Thank you Mr. Chavda . Proud to be amongst your loyal subscriber base.
Amazing knowledge shared by AC, critically needed for the world to realize the real truth of the current state of things and not fall prey to the contrary projected falsehood disguised as truth...Really a big fan of AC...
This is an amazing podcast/series. Love the information delivery from Abhijit. Having a host is a great idea, occassional questioning bring out interesting points and helps remembering key points being talked about.
An absolute treat!! I have read a few books you mentioned in the opening episode, but have long lost touch with reading more. You and this series is greatly appreciated by ppl like me and everyone. Can't wait for the next episode!
Can’t wait to dive into this episode! 🔥 The topic sounds incredibly intriguing, especially with the focus on early explorers and their conquests. 🌍 I'm rlly looking forward to the deep insights and historical connections! 👏📚 #UnderstandingAmerica
56:12 historians have traced the word "Texas" to the Caddo word "tay-sha," which means friend. Today the Caddo largely reside in Binger, Oklahoma, far from their ancestral lands. The Caddo are native to East Texas and parts of what's now Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Very interesting, shocking, and interesting episode 2 of Understanding America. The role of the Christian Catholic Church, brutality of Spanish, and their justification for subjugation of Non Christian now white native indigenous peoples of America is eye opening and a must for understanding the psyche of Modern American and Anglo Saxon Christian perspective. Brutal conquest, deadly diseases, the viewpoint of seeing non Christian natives as inferiors is quite visible. Must watch for everyone👍
The Catholic Religion in the Americas in the Beginning was very Barbaric. Their Religion was very hateful and barbaric by relegating humans to slavery. It is a very sad part of History. The strong overpower the weak and enslaved them for their own gains. Wake up people and learn from History.
Superb narration, Abhijit ... a tale of barbaric greed and avrice!👌👏 Being a huge fan of the old West, I particularly relate to your plains part of the story, Bison (Tanaka), how the Apache obtained horses and became the most fearsome warriors of their time. Natives called these brutal Europeans, 'Iron Shirts' One of my favorite, history based, fiction authors is Louis L'amour! 😃
Everybody was brutal then. Native Americans were brutal on their own kin & other tribes, Brahmins were brutal against their own people etc. Well the West are not saints, but they reformed & invented the Modern World. Now we are selectively judging by Modern World education.
Sir, when 3rd episode is coming?? I know you’re trying your best to give us best value possible but, still I request you to upload this series every week on a fix day. Please 🙏
One thing stands out, no matter what. Being ruthless is not easy at all. It's a lot of hard work. And evidently, ruthlessness plays into the creation of great empires.
Hello sir, this is Sughosh, am a Kannada actor. My next project is a Sci-Fi movie and i have many things that i need clarity frm a true science person.
